Chairman

The general manager and Sophie kept trying to persuade Lynne, but the woman was so stubborn in refusing them that she threatened to call the police. The general manager clenched his fists, glaring angrily at Lynne. "Don't think that because you're pretty, you can get anything!" Sophie hurriedly moved closer to calm the man down. "Mr. General Manager, calm down. Lynne, it'll be hard to get what you want if you don't do this." "Yes! You'll never get any projects if you're not willing to sleep with me!" The general manager began to exclaim in annoyance. "You want to get something but don't want to try? Hmph! Dream on!" Seeing how the general manager's behavior was getting more and more outrageous, Damian felt fed up, he immediately got up and pulled Lynne to stand up with him. "Just leave them alone, let's meet the chairman." "But—" Lynne looked a little panicked hearing the threat but that didn't mean she wanted to agree to what the general manager wanted. "Is the chairman really willing to meet me?" "Let's try. Just ignore them," Damian replied without bothering to glance at either the general manager or Sophie. Seeing his arrogant attitude, the general manager became even more furious, he pointed at Damian in annoyance. "Why are you so arrogant? A useless man like you can only rely on a woman to earn money!" "None of your business." "The chairman wouldn't be willing to meet with bumpkins like you! It's good that I intended to help but you treated me like this." The general manager snorted loudly. "Don't think you're important people. The chairman has no intention of meeting with small fry like you two." Damian didn't reply, but he glanced at Rolan and the Chairman of the Imperial Sage Group who came hurriedly approaching them. The chairman didn't look too young, around his mid-40s with a not-too-tall body and pale skin. Seeing how the general manager threatened Damian, the chairman couldn't help but feel goosebumps all over his body. Today he had been very anxious waiting for Damian and his wife to arrive until the male aide, Rolan, came to explain everything. The chairman frowned angrily, immediately pushing the general manager away from Damian. "What did you do?" "Chairman?" "What have you done?" The chairman snorted angrily. "Forget it, you don't have to work here anymore from now on." "What? How could that be? Chairman, what have I done?" the general manager asked in panic. The chairman frowned, looking at the man beside him in disgust. "Do you really not understand? I have no intention of wasting my time on trash like you." The general manager was about to speak again when Rolan immediately pushed the two of them out of the Imperial Sage Group lobby. The chairman immediately turned towards Lynne. She still had a little goosebumps and her body was covered in cold sweat. "Are you Mrs. Scott?" "Yes." Lynne smiled nervously. "Nice to meet you, chairman." "Yes, I am also honored to meet you." The chairman smiled back respectfully. "Can we talk in my office? It's so noisy here, I'm afraid it will disturb our conversation." "Of course," Lynne replied, still with obvious nervousness. She glanced at Damian who smiled gently. The man said, "Go, I'll wait here." Lynne looked hesitant but nodded anyway, she turned and followed the chairman's steps. On the other hand, the chairman of Imperial Sage Group was really panicking. He was scared to death that Damian would be angry because of this incident. After all, the man had also called him again last night saying that the project would be carried out by his wife. How could someone treat General Damian's wife like a b***h? The chairman subconsciously massaged his forehead, even after the elevator dinged and the two of them arrived at the man's room, his head still hurt so much. "Please sit down, madam. You can call me Julian." "I am very honored, Mr. Julian." Lynne clenched her fists nervously. The woman stared at the floor blankly, thinking about many things. Julian on the other hand immediately served tea and sat down opposite the woman. "I have heard of Mrs. Lynne's intention to come today, and am personally quite interested in involving her in Imperial Sage Group's new project in the capital." "I am very happy to hear that you are interested in doing so." Lynne smiled honestly. Julian smiled back kindly. "I will give you the position of general manager, and I will hand over a project of 100 million dollars for you to handle." Hearing that, Lynne immediately froze, staring in disbelief at the man in front of her. "Isn't this too much for me, sir?" "No! Not at all." Julian shook his head firmly. "I just believe in the ability of the madam and I believe you can do it." "Is this really okay? I'm afraid I'll mess it up," Lynne said honestly. Julian chuckled. "You have to trust your abilities, ma'am. I heard you graduated top of the class from the number one campus in the capital last year. I certainly won't doubt your abilities. I'm sure you won't make any messes." Lynne hesitated a little, but seeing the determined gaze of the man in front of her, the woman finally nodded in agreement. "Okay, I hope I don't disappoint Mr. Julian's trust in the future." "I believe that." On the other hand, the media was being shocked by one big news, the former miss of the Lawrence Family who was once disfigured has now restored her face and the woman was even seen discussing a contract with the chairman of the Imperial Sage Group. This news became a hot topic considering how the world including her own family treated Lynne so badly. But now the woman has even become the most advanced among her other siblings from the same family. The person being talked about did not know this, Lynne just followed Damian into the car to return home together. The woman still looked so nervous but clearly, a smile could not be hidden from that beautiful face. "Damian I did it!" Damian smiled back, he hugged his wife's body gently. "My wife is indeed very extraordinary. Look at how the Lawrence family who have underestimated my little wife will be. They must be speechless." "Damian, I think telling them to kneel down to me is too much," Lynne said. "I just want to prove myself in front of my family. I don't need their apologies." Hearing that, Damian just sighed, he couldn't refuse his wife's wishes so the man just nodded helplessly. "Why are you so humble? In the future, I don't want to see my wife being so lenient with others." "I won't be lenient with people who try to approach my husband!" Lynne pouted, the woman entered her husband's embrace. "Come to think of it, this interview went so well. Even Mr. Julian gave me such a big project." "Isn't that great?" "Hey Damian, were you the one who made Mr. Julian give me this position?"
