Chapter 11

Even in the world of perfection, she was his favorite chaos.

Haze.

There are times when life takes a drastic change and all you want to do is wake up with a jerk and realize that it was just a nightmare but then reality slaps you, hard. It was all true and real. And with time you start to live without them. You don't forget them, but with time you learn to leave without them. Pain doesn't get any less but you learn to deal with it.

Same thing happened when I lost my mother, my idol, the one with whom I spent the best moments of my life, the one who taught me how to face reality. Every single night I prayed to God to send my mom back to me next morning. I always wanted this to be a nightmare but I knew better, I knew it was a harsh and brutal reality.

And now God is again testing me throwing me in another world, world of power, world of werewolves. I never really craved for a prince charming. Hell, I don't believe in one. You wonder why? My mom always found my father as her prince charming which only resulted in her heartbreak. So what is the worth of love if it's all a selfish lie.

"Queen." My train of thoughts broke at the familiar voice of Alice. I smiled at her and she stepped in Hayden's room.

"We brought all your clothes and belongings." She said with a huge grin. Of course she was happy that I am finally moving in with Hayden in one room but I was the least happy.

"If you don't mind Alice can I get a few minutes alone?" I asked with a soft voice and her grin faded a bit as she nodded.

"I know Queen that it's not easy for you. But give this a try, King needs you, we all need you Queen. And King looks all tough and hard but we all know how much he cares for you deep. It's new to him too and he doesn't know how to react." And with that she left leaving me in wonder once again.

I was in Hayden's room as he ordered me to. I mean I shouldn't be mad at him, after all he is looking out for me. But it makes me look weak and not to mention he is invading my privacy too.

I leaned on the bed and closed my eyes and let the darkness dominate me.

I woke up with someone shaking my shoulder gently. I lazily opened my eyes to meet familiar brown eyes of Hayden.

"Get up, it's almost dinner time." He said getting away from me sitting on the couch beside his bed.

"What time is it?" I asked yawning and rubbing my eyes.

"8." He said and I looked at him wide eyed and I saw a slight amused expression on his face which didn't even last for more than a second.

"I slept for pretty long." I mumbled to myself and got up from my bed and stretched my limbs.

"Get ready and be downstairs in twenty minutes." He said or more like ordered.

"Get ready?" I scoffed at him and laughed a little at him and looked down to my white trouser and blue t-shirt.

"I mean get freshen up or whatever you want and don't be late. There are people waiting for you downstairs. And I ha...." I cut him off while rolling my eyes.

"And I hate tardiness." I mimicked him in a deep voice and chuckled at how ridiculous it sounds.

"Crystal." He said in a warning tone and I glared at him.

"Why are these people coming to meet me?" I asked with a tone that shows how much disinterested I am in this 'meeting'.

"They want to meet their Queen and I can't stop them since it's their right." He said narrowing his eyes at me.

"I am not a Queen for the millionth time Hayden. I am a human for God's sake and I am not interested being in your business and being your Queen. So I'll pass the offer." I ended with a tight lipped smile and sat on the bed.

He walked towards me and leaned down to look straight in my eyes and he spoke threateningly.

"Now it wouldn't be nice if I carry their Queen in my arms or on my shoulders. It wouldn't be a nice scene to display, right?" He knew how to convince me, stupid and always correct King.

"Leave, I need to at least look presentable for these people of yours." I said while throwing him a deadly glare. He nodded and was about to leave when he turned to look at me with a firm look on his face.

"And behave. I mean it, behave." He said raising his eyebrows making sure that I understand him. I roll my eyes at him and a small smirk formed on my lips.

"Leave." I snapped at him and he stared at me for a minute and left the room.

I grabbed a black jumpsuit and changed into them and left for the dinner, I wasn't really looking for.

"Queen." Alice bowed as soon as I enter the kitchen and I smiled warmly at her.

"Hi Alice. I hope the dinner's ready cause I am starving." I said with a light laugh and she nodded at me with a bright smile.

"Why don't you sit with the guests there and I'll serve the dinner within minutes." She said motioning me towards the way and I sighed as I left to meet them.

I looked around and saw nearly ten to twelve people of different age groups sitting on the dining table and chattering about something serious in a hushed voice. Suddenly Hayden spotted me and got up and walked towards me.

He took my hand and led me to his pack members who bowed as I made my way towards them.

"She is my mate and your Queen, Crystal Kingston." He said with a proud tone.

"Queen." They a chorused and bowed their head in respect.

"It would be great if you all address me by my name." I said with a small smile which they all returned to me gladly.

"If you don't mind asking me King, isn't she a human?" A lady around fifty asked with a small smile. It wasn't a insult but just a mere question.

"Yes she is a human, Mary." Hayden said softly.

"Well isn't she beautiful and humble." She said sliding her hand over my head and closed her eyes for a minute.

"She is just like Sienna." She said with a sad smile and I couldn't help but ask the question my mind thrown at me.

"Who is Sienna?" Hayden looked at me for a long minute and said coldly with a peculiar warmness within his cold tone.

"Previous Queen of werewolf."

"Your mother?" I asked with a long breath not knowing whether to ask the question or not.

"My mother and Queen of werewolf." He said with a firm nod.
