And even when their worlds were drifting apart, all they needed was each other. They were more than a soulmate and their love was more than sacred.

Happy reading!!!!!!
It's been a week since I came here. I hardly ever see King Black here. He is either busy with his pack business or he is avoiding me. Either way I am happy that I am not near him but there is a part of me which craves for him.
"Queen." I divert from attention from the book in my hand to Beta Josh who is standing at the door of my room.
"Josh." I said with a small smile but his face is etched with frown.
"You need to eat, Queen." His voice holds authority but his tone is still gentle and I raise a brow at his demanding words.
I take orders from no one.
"I am sorry Queen but it's King's order." He said with a calm look on his face. I sighed as he holds a plate full of food.
"Please call me Crystal. I am not your Queen." I said with a composed voice trying to keep my irritation out of my tone. I have been forced to live here and I refuse to be their Queen.
"You are my soon to be Queen and I can't disrespect you, Luna." I huff as he refers me as his Luna, I maybe mate of their king, of their alpha but I refuse to be their Luna.
"Keep the food on the table, I'll eat it in a while." I said diverting my attention back to the book I was holding. He nodded and kept the plate of steaming hot food on the table before closing the door.
I had lost my appetite here, I don't want to be caged here while the King Majesty is never home. I don't know why but I am jealous of people here, they are free to move as they see fit and here I am not allowed to leave his house.
I closed my eyes. I need to find a way out of here as soon as possible. There was one thing clear he doesn't want me, maybe it's his wolf for which he is keeping me here and I am pretty sure his species will reject me as their Queen, a human as their Queen.
I stood up from my bed and straightened my dress and left the room. I am not going to be his prisoner.
"Queen, how may I help you?" One of the guard asked while bowing his head.
"I was just exploring the house, you know." I said with an easy smile. I was good at convincing and I knew it.
"I'll show you around, Queen."
"No, it's okay. I'll be okay on my own. It's not that I am leaving the house." I said casually heading upstairs. I have to escape.
He looked too unsure about leaving me alone, even if it was two room away. I walked upstairs and turned to him.
"Can you get me something to eat? I am hungry." I asked with a small smile. He nodded and left for the kitchen. I took my chance and rushed to the last room, upstairs and locked the room behind me. I headed to the balcony, I have to jump down but it is too risky when it's high.
But freedom is worth every risk. I heard footstep heading towards the room and taking a deep breath I jumped down. I sprained my ankle but it wasn't my concern. I had to get away from here before any of the guard find me missing. I dashed towards the back of the forest. But as expected some werewolves were patrolling the area.
I cursed mentally for taking this route and headed the other way of the forest. I was running for almost half an hour and then I heard snapping voice. I turned around to see four wolves surrounding me. They growled loudly at me. I flinched at the noise but they kept stepping towards me, like a predator does for it's prey and I was the prey.
I already knew who were they, rouges. I could be wrong but it was greatest instinct. I screamed as loud as I could when a wolf lunged for me but miraculously I saved myself by running across him. But his claws injured my upper right shoulder. Blood was dripping from it and I winced at the pain but I had to run, run for my dear life.
I always regret my decisions, first not saving my mother, next coming with King Black and now escaping from his house. Somehow I always manage to invite the trouble towards me.
My ankle was throbbing too much from already being injured and I was getting tired. My ankle left my support and I fell on the ground on my right shoulder and let out a loud, piercing cry out of pain. I hissed as blood was still sipping. I tore the end of my dress and wrapped it around my right shoulder tightly to stop the blood from flowing.
The wolf stood there watching me carefully but I was human and I was nothing in front of the beast. I heard a snarl escaping from his chest before he thrown himself on me to kill me.
I braced myself for the impact, for the pain, but it never came. My eyes snapped open at another growl, it was vicious, livid and it sent chills down my spine in fear and pleasure. I knew my mate, King Black was here, to rescue me.
I cried in pain from my injured shoulder and ankle. King's attention dived to me. He looked livid, his brown eyes were glowing yellow and his jaw was clenched. He looked lethal, and I would have done anything to get away from him at this moment. He looked at my right shoulder and another growl escaped from his throat.
And then he shifted into his wolf form and I gasped at the cracking voice. It sounded painful, I closed my eyes and when I opened it again, there stood a wolf, with black fur and yellow eyes. He was huge and giant from all of the wolf there. They were of course no competition to the King. Next thing I did was closed my eyes as I heard painful screeching, howling and I knew my mate, King had tore the rouges apart.
Tears were streaming down my face, I was afraid of death, I was afraid of blood and I let out a scream of fear, of my past and all the painful memories came rushing back.
I shouted again and gripped my head. I wanted to get out of this, but it was too late. I am mated to a werewolf, let alone a King.
A gentle touch spread tingles and warmth across my body. I looked up at him as his face was laced with concern, with anger and with worry.
He is worried about me. And the guilt was even more stronger now. I bit my lips to prevent myself from crying now. I glanced around to see blood everywhere and winced at the sight.
I was the reason of this, if I wouldn't have eloped from his house and wouldn't have went crazy none of this would have happened.
I looked at the familiar warm brown eyes looking at me with a peculiar emotion. I begged through my eyes to get me from away from this mess, from all these blood. As if reading my mind he wrapped his hand under my knees and took me bridal style, I winced as my shoulder hit his hard body.
And I needed this, I needed an escape and this escape was in his arms.
"King Hayden." I managed to utter those two words out when I felt nauseous, I felt sick. The whole world was spinning and I fell in darkness but not before hearing him say almost vulnerably.
"I won't let anything happen to you." With that my whole world turned black and I let the darkness embrace me.
