Joy pov
Its been a few days since i last seen William, He told me to be ready, handed me clothes and food, than he left, it's be a few days now., i haven’t heard a word from him, I would had escaped, but its hard when the cage your in has magic protecting it, i have tried many times to get the h3ll out of here, but every time i tried i was fed a blast that would knock me out, i would wake up on the ground, I tried knocking William out but he was only knocked out for a few seconds he would grab me and throw me back into the cage, So i was stuck here until he comes and lets me out; unless he had changed his mind, i wish i had something to write with, something anything so I could make my mom see that i am still alive, When i received the paper in my hand i was surprised, I didn't think mom could do that, i knew it would take a lot out of her. i read the letter, she told me they have been looking for me for years. They won’t give us until they find me, I had to hide it, so no one would see it. I started pacing back and forth, I wanted out of here, and I have not heard from my dragon. What did they do to her? there must have been something in the food or drink. if they killed her. i swear i will do whatever i could to kill them, She belonged to me she was mine and they took her from me, I was so angry that i didn't even see the light up the stairs, until i heard footsteps coming from the steps, i turned to look to see who it was, Maybe Nikki changed her mind and decided not to go anywhere, maybe they are coming down to laugh at me, i was ready for anything, both William and Mark came down to see me,
“What did you do? Did you come down here to laugh at me? making me think i was going to be set free. Do what you need to do, then leave me be.”
“Joy if you shut your mouth, i could unlock this damn door, we have thirty minutes to get out of here before they start tossing dirt down here, we have ten dump trucks full and ready, so shut up and let's get out of here,” Was this guy forreal, Am i really getting out of here today, I watched as he walked over to me unlocking the catch, the door was wide open,
“Come on the magic is blocked for only a few minutes, get your ass out of there,” I didn’t have to be told twice, i ran out of the cage, they hurried me up the steps, when we got out to the opening, i had to hide my eyes, the sun was so bright, I felt grass under my feet for the first time in years it felt so odd to me at first since all i've been standing on was a cage floor. my eyes started to adjust to the light, the sky was so blue, the wind felt so good on my skin,
“Joy you must listen to me, okay? i want you to run in that direction. Run as fast as you can, there will be rogues you will need to run from, i know you can’t shift back Nikki put something in your food to put your dragon to sleep, it should be wearing off in a few days, but then she will be to weak to shift, The alpha does not know you have been here, so if the guards see you, they will kill you, Now run go now, you have until sun down to get out of here, Rogues will be everywhere, head to the right and keep right, until you are out of our boarders, once your out, your on your own, your in another state, so it’s going to take weeks to get back home, unless you can steal a car,, Now go Joy, get your ass out of here now, before your caught,” again they didn’t have to tell me twice, I started running as fast as i could to the right. i thought it was a weird way to go, but i was told to stay to the right, so that's where I was going to keep going.
“Do you think she's going to keep right or change direction? Either way, rogues are bad out there. She would be lucky if she comes out of this alive.”
“I don't know, Mark. But if she ends up being killed by rogues, then they will be to blame not us, that is if they don’t rip her apart first, then they won't find anything.
“Why didn;t you just tell her to keep straight? It would have been faster to get off our land”
“Yeah, but going right will get her off our borders faster. If the guards catch her, they will just kill her. so either way, she's dead. At least we didn’t do it. come on, let's get out of here. The trucks are backing up now to get this filled in this dungeon,”
“So. When were the two of you going to tell me you kept the dragon king's daughter captive, and how the hell long have you had her, do you realize you could had all of us killed, where the f**k is she now,. is she down there., are you two out of your f*****g mind?” they turned around really quickly they saw what they fear the most, Alpha Cody standing right behind them with five guards on either side of him,
