Chapter one
Mark pov
I was standing yet again in the bosses office, he was acting like a child that dropped his ice cream on the ground, but this time, Paperwork was missing, this was important, it was due to the mafia war, if we didn’t have the folder we would lose, He had already killed several guys right in front of me. I knew i was next, He was coming toward me when i held my hands up,
‘Listen Boss, i don’t know where the folder is. whoever had it last took the thing, we might even have a trader here, we just have to figure out who it is, But you just can’t go around killing everyone, you won't have anyone to help with the war, And it's coming whether we are ready or not." I knew what I said was the wrong thing at the moment when he grabbed me by the throat, slamming me hard against the wall.
“Alright Mark, Since you are the one that is running your mouth, why don’t you look for the folder, starting with this ass hole that's laying at your feet, go to his house and look through everything, go from house to house. and if you do not find it, i’ll kill you and your f*****g family, do i make myself clear?”
‘But boss, You know that's going to take all night to do that,”
“Well Mark, i think you just better get going and start looking for that folder, tick tock the time is ticking, i want it in my hand before eight am,” I nodded as he let go of me, i pushed from the wall trying to catch my breath, i already knew what i was going to do, i was going to do my best to save my family from this guy, he's going to get everyone killed i rushed home telling my wife we needed to go,
But Mark, it's the middle of the night and Levonna is asleep.”
“Kathrine Go wake her up and get her in the car, i'll be waiting, we’ll get what we need to get when we get far enough, now hurry up.
Kathrine pov
I just sat down after giving Levonna a bath. after she was fed i had her go to bed, i tucked her inn, she wanted to wait until her father was home to kiss him good night, but tonight i knew he would be home late,
“Sweetheart, daddy will be home late tonight, When he gets home i promise he will come and kiss your forehead,”
“Okay mommy, just make sure daddy is real quiet, cause i will be sleeping okay mommy.” I couldn't help but smile at my child, she can be so sweet. I tucked her into her blanket. I waited until she fell asleep, then I turned off her light, shutting the door just enough so I could still hear her if she called for me if she needed me. When i actually set down to relax my husband Mark rushed into the house told me to wake up Levonna, We were leaving, i knew this was coming it has been brewing for a long time now, The alpha well the boss, that's what he likes to be called, We are a mafia pack, my husband was his left hand man, he's a go getting whatever the guy wants he go gets it, he could be gone all night long away from his family he would not care, So, i knew this has been coming for a long time, i hurried into Levonna’s bedroom cutting on the light,
“Levonna honey come on you need to wake up, we are leaving,”
five year old levonna pov
I didn’t want to go to bed at all, I wanted to wait up for daddy. But mommy said daddy was going to be home really late, So i kissed mommy good night than went to sleep, i wasn't even sure how long I was asleep when i heard my mommy voice,
“Levonna honey, come on you need to wake up, we are leaving,” I looked out the window and saw it was still dark, why did she want to leave so late for,”
“But mommy, why do we have to leave? It's still dark outside.” she didn't say anything else she hurried to get my shoes then carried me to the car, once inside the car daddy started the car speeding away, I ended up falling back to sleep. When i woke back up the sun was shining high in the sky,
“Daddy, why are we leaving our home, we left all my toys and Teddy, can we go back and get them,” He took a deep breath, i knew he didn't want to tell me what was going on, He looked at mommy, than mommy spoke,
‘Sweetheart, Daddy is just having a moment right now, when we get to the new pack I will make sure you get new toys and a new teddy okay,”
“But mommy, why are we going to a new pack, i thought daddy liked the one we were at? she didn't get a chance to answer me, Something really hard hit us, we went flying into the air, mommy started screaming, i started crying, i didn’t know what was going on, We landing upside down with all the windows breaking, Daddy got out helping my mom, and then getting me out safely, mom was holding me making sure i was okay, i had a cut on my arm were a piece of glass cut me, but i was alright, just scared.
“Well, Well well, look what we have here Drago,” We all turned looking at two very big mean looking guys, they were both looking at daddy, mommy put me behind her so they wouldn't hurt me, I wondered what they wanted, because they sure looked real mean,
Mark pov
I knew I was going to die. but i wasn't going to go down without a fight, I was going to protect my wife and child, i mindlinked my mate, telling her to run, but she wouldn’t she wanted to stay and fight,
“We fight together we die together my love, but we need to make Levonna hide until she can find someone to help her,”
“I don’t know who would, But all we can do is hope my love, talk to her while i talk to these goons,” the link was shut off, i knew she was talking to our daughter as i talked to these ass holes,
“Where are you going Mark? The boss needs you back.”
“That is not going to happen Tony, He’s going to kill me anyways, When i tell him i have no idea where those folders are,”
“It doesn't matter, Mark either you come back or you die.”
“Then I guess I will die, because we are not going back.”
