Knowing more about the Syndicates

When the sun rises the next morning, Lorie had no strength to stand up. Why? It is because she didn’t have enough sleep last night because of her mother and father. The sight of her father’s death is very traumatizing and it keeps Lorie awake at night. It haunts her in her sleep every time she closes her eyes. She couldn’t save them both and she felt so terrible because she just stood there watching her mother and father get killed. She failed to protect and save them – her family. What will her sister say if she learned that she couldn’t save their parent that she let them died.

Lorie wears her mask when she heard someone knocking on her hotel door and forced herself to get out of the bed to face the person.

When she opens the door, Gustavo’s right henchman inform her about their activity today and where they are going. Hindi na nagtanong pa si Lorie at umoo nalang sa sinabi nito.

Kahitt puyat at antok na antok si Lorie ay pinilit niya ang sarili na gumalaw at mag-ayos. Naligo siya at sinuot ang pangalawang pares ng costume niya dahil nalabhan niya ang unang pares. Mabuti nalang at dalawa ang costume na pinagawa ni Aliyah para sa kaniya dahil kung hindi ay mamomroblema talaga siya. Isa pa magiging mabaho na rin siya kung sakali mang uulit-ulitin niya ang paggamit sa iisang costume lang.

Sabay silang lahat na lumabas ng hotel at sumakay sa dalawang sasakyan. Hindi alam ni Lorie kung saan sila pupunta pero hindi na siya magugulat kung ang pupuntahan na naman nila ay isang lugar na puno na naman ng kabrutalan.

Nakita ni Lorie na nasa may port na sila. Huminto ang sasakyan at lumabas silang lahat sa sasakyan na pinalulanan nila.

Isang yate ang dumaong sa port at nagbigay galang kay Romano na siyang naunang sumakay sa yate kasama ang anak. Sumunod silang mga tauhan at nagpunta sa second deck ng yate dahil doon sila hanggang sa makatawid sa paroroonan.

Nagpunta si Lorie sa harap na parte ng yate at doon umupo para mapag-isa. Iniisip niya kung hanggang kailan ba matatapos ang lahat. Gusto nalang ni Lorie ang maglaho at mawala nalang na para bang hindi siya nag-exist sa mundo.

Biglang may tumabi kay Lorie at hindi niya na kailangan lingunin pa ito dahil sa alam na niya kung sino ito. Wala naman kasi ibang kusang lumalapit sa kaniya sa grupo maliban sa isang tao at si Aliyah iyon.

“I came her not to bug you but to tell you that the woman didn’t die last night. The emperor spared her life for a while.” Ani Aliyah na ikinalingon agad ni Lorie.

Lorie couldn’t tell if she’s telling the truth or lying to her and playing with her feelings. How insensitive of Aliyah bringing back up such traumatizing event. Lorie took back her sight into the ocean. She has no time for Aliyah’s bullshit. She has no time to talk to her and gave her the satisfaction of mocking her every single time.

“Just leave me alone.” Lorie firmly said without looking at Aliyah. Lorie heard Aliyah sighed in frustration and defeat before leaving her side.

Nang dumunggo ang yate sa isang isla ay hindi napigilan ni Lorie ang sarili na magmatyag at pag-aralan ang lugar. Sobrang daming nakabantay sa paligid ng isla. Naglalakihang mga guwardiya at malalaking baril din ang hawak nila.

Lorie immediately withdraw her eyes from them when one of them turned around. She’s almost got caught from looking at them. One thing that Lorie learned in their organization is that you have to play nice and safe all the time. You need to be mindful and avoid making a mess or else you will going to suffer the consequences.

They went inside the big mansion and there’s already plenty of people inside. They were drinking and laughing while watching a very inappropriate and worst show that Lorie could have seen in her life.

In the stage, there’s a man and woman playing intimately with each other. They were sexually pleasing each other in front of many people watching them doing the thing.

Lorie felt so disgusted seeing that kind of show while the others inside enjoyed watching them. It’s like an entertainment to all of them. Lorie left in disbelief and couldn’t believe that people like them can stomach such events. Well, it’s not a surprise since they can kill someone without any remorse. What more of this kind of disgusting activity.

Lorie felt terrible and want to throw up so bad. She couldn’t stay and watch any longer. But even if she doesn’t want to watch she can still hear the annoying sound they’re making. The moaning and groaning of the two person up stage annoys Lorie so much.

“Ten’no wa anata o kitai shite imasu, sa.” (The Emperor is expecting you, sir.) A Japanese guy approached Romano and assisted him to come with him.

Lorie stayed rooted in where she’s standing and trying to distract herself from what she’s hearing and what happening on the stage.

“Are you not coming with us inside, L.” Romano asked Lorie when he noticed her that she didn’t follow.

Lorie didn’t wait for any invitation and she followed them to go somewhere. Lorie walked beside Romano with saying anything and they went to this room where the Emperor awaits them.

When they settled inside the room the emperor and Romano was talking about something in different language. Lorie was interested on what they’re talking about but she couldn’t understand them both. She couldn’t even identify what language they are using. She’s not a linguistic person unlike her twin sister.

Iniiexamine lang ni Lorie ang kwarto na kinaroroonan nila at walang escape route kung sakali man may maglakas loob na pumasok at mag espeya sa grupo nila. Maliban sa kwarto ay mahirap din makaalis ng isla na hindi nahuhuli ng mga guwardiya rito.

Everything is so tight and secured. Hindi nga sila basta-basta na nakapsok kanina kahit miyembro si Romano eh. Sa sobrang higpit ng seguridad ay Malabo talagang may makapasok sa loob ng isla at makalabas ng buhay.
