“Girls, I think I see our winner,” Hakim pointed us towards the other side of the airport “It is!” Amber exclaimed. With our arms entwined, Charlie and I skipped on over to where our fan and her two friends were wandering aimlessly. Charlie lightly tapped our winner on the shoulder. As she turned around, her smile grew exponentially. It was heartwarming to see someone so happy to see us. “Oh my gosh, it’s you!” she started to ramble, “I'm not sure if you remember me, but I talked with you two on the plane, and I won your contest, or at least your agent emailed me and told me that. Did I not win? If not that’s okay, I understand. Either way, I just want to tell you both how phenomenal you are while I have the chance." "Of course we remember you," I said.  "And you did win," Charlie added. “You’re such a nerd, Blaire,” one of the other girls said. “Ah yes, these are my older twin sisters, Azalea and Melody. I was told I could bring two people, right?" “I’m Azalea,” said the one who called Blaire a nerd. “I’m Melody,” said the taller one. Hakim and Amber joined us. After some quick introductions, we decided to head to the mansion. Everyone else was already at the mansion when the seven of us got there. Gavyn greeted us at the door. I could immediately sense Melody had her eyes on Gavyn. I looked away, trying to ignore it. I saw Hakim and Azalea already cozying up to each other. I also noticed Blaire stealing glances at everyone around her, as if she couldn’t believe her eyes.  For the afternoon, we headed straight to work. We narrowed down which songs we would be recording. Quinn had booked the recording studio as of the next day. We got Blaire’s help in choosing our songs, because what better opinion could we have than our audience’s? She gave us some really good feedback on the songs. We also went over her song in more detail with her, just talking about what it meant to her and how she would want us to sing it. Dinner soon rolled around. We had a nice meal to welcome our three new guests. During dinner, we decided where the girls were going to sleep. Blaire was going to share a room with Charlie. Azalea would share a room with Maia. Melody would be sharing my room. Melody intimidated me. I felt like she was prettier than me, taller than me, and older than me. She was actually Gavyn’s age. If she really liked him, I was sure she could get him. She seemed to be trying to be nice to me, at least, even though the effort was strained. As we sat in my room after dinner, we asked each other some questions to get to know each other better. “So tell me… Do you have a boyfriend?” Melody asked. Jealousy took over me in that moment. I could tell she was specifically asking to see if Gavyn was free for her to pursue. Instead of continuing to be civil, I began to brag about how amazing my relationship with Gavyn was so far. "Gavyn takes me everywhere," I said, "On our first date we went skating and it was so romantic, and he's taken me to movies, and restaurants, and yesterday he drove me all the way to the edge of the country just for us to go on a romantic boat ride. He's so romantic, and such a gentleman. He really loves me, and treats me like I’m the most special person on this earth." Clearly, Melody was seething as I spoke. It satisfied me. At least, it satisfied me until the venom in her thoughts came coursing through her words. “Alright, but just see how long that lasts you, now that there’s more than just you dumb kids here,” she gritted through her teeth. No reasonable thing came to mind of what to do next. So, I picked up my sweater and threw it at her. Without so much as a second thought, she picked it up and whipped it right back at me. The next thing I knew, the two of us were not only throwing clothes at each other, but anything we could get our hands on. Pillows, sheets, blankets, you name it, we were throwing it. A shoe soon hit me in the face. I took my own shoe off and threw it at Melody, hitting her in the stomach. “b***h!” she cursed. “Coming from you?” “Is that the best comeback you can think of?” “Oh, sweetie, I’m just getting started.” As the two of us threw insults at each other, along with other things, I wondered how Maia and Charlie were handling their guests. I hoped they were having a better time than I was.
