RAINA’S POV
“Did anyone else see you come in apart from the guards at the gates and the maid that brushed you up?” He asked in a strange undertone.
I squinted at him suspiciously as we sat around the dinner table, Haisley was yet to come down for dinner. I shook my head and asked why, his reply wasn’t so convincing.
“I do not want to create a ruckus, the rest of the pack might see your presence as a deliberate effort by Declan to ruin the peaceful nature of the pack,” He replied and silence fell over us as a line of maids walked in with different cuisines which they sat on the large, oval table. “I know how you must feel right now, Raina, but we have to do what’s best for the pack first. It comes before our personal desires.”
