I was shocked and couldn’t react for a few seconds.
When Declan kissed me, a scenario flashed in my mind and I got drowned in it for a few seconds. I remembered what had happened the previous day, I had a conversation with who everyone else referred to as the wise man. He was a bald, old man who seemed to leave something stuck in my mind each time we met. I had only discovered yesterday that he had been with Declan before he deserted his pack to find his own way.
