RAINA’S POV
Despite passing the examination from the elders and regaling in the proud look on Claus’s face, I just couldn’t get myself to celebrate this win. This was because of what I had discovered earlier. For the past few days, I had been trying to get prepared for this day, I met with some pretty interesting people that had a lot of tales to tell.
I made rather disturbing discoveries which I compiled into my head every night in order to fit the pieces of my puzzle into place. The long suppressed, but not forgotten, hatred for my parents’ killer had surfaced again. Obviously because my prime suspect was living in the same house with me. I was glad I didn’t have to meet him for all these days, although my heart ached slightly whenever I was alone.
