CHAPTER 17 RAINA’S POV The night sky was barren and void of even the stars. I had never felt so lonely and frightened. The night threatened me with the harsh wind that bristled past my face and made the leaves from the trees that fell on the ground thrash about. I looked around, my eyes straining hard to peer into the darkness that had enclosed my surroundings.
