RAINA’S POV
The night sky was barren and void of even the stars.
I had never felt so lonely and frightened. The night threatened me with the harsh wind that bristled past my face and made the leaves from the trees that fell on the ground thrash about. I looked around, my eyes straining hard to peer into the darkness that had enclosed my surroundings. There was no one else in sight and save for the howling of the wind and the rattling noises it initiated, there was no other sound that pricked my ears.
