RAINA’S POV
Oh dear! What if he had heard what I said just a minute ago? What was he going to do to me then?
“Alpha Declan…” I stuttered, my throat felt dry and my breath was hot under my nostrils. “I…I didn’t know you were sitting there…I would have…”
“Not uttered what you said?” He chirped expressionlessly and dropped his glass on a steel tray.
I pressed my lips together and hid my tongue behind my teeth. I was frightened now, more than I had been earlier because this time, I had actually given him a reason to harm me.
“The nurse said you’re okay now,” He continued in his flat tone and then a look of disgust and disregard spread across his handsome yet cruel face. “You’re soft and weak and I find that pathetic.” He remarked and got to his feet. “Get up.”
