DECLAN’S POV
There was something about Raina’s body language that made me look at her more carefully. I never really could understand that girl sometimes. She could be calm and transparent at a point, the next moment she was the most complicated being in the world.
I shrugged and sat down behind my desk. I looked at the file I had been going through again before I left the study. The last time I opened this was months ago, way before I found Raina. I couldn’t stop thinking about how much energy I could get from her. Whenever I touched her, I could feel the vibrancy of her heartbeat and that thrilled me each time.
