With my forehead against my window's glass, I could see the street outside, placid with everyone casually going about their day, ignorant as hell as to the monsters lurking in the city's corners. They didn't know their life could be snatched from them in a swift moment just by being in the wrong place at the wrong time. I wasn't sure how long I stood there without a sound from Sebastian.
