"How is it? You're going to give it to me, right?" Kylie asked again enthusiastically. She really couldn't wait to get the gift from Jeykey.
Jeykey, who was in front of Kylie, still looked shocked by Kylie's request. He looked at his siblings hoping that they would help him, but both Drake and his siblings seemed indifferent to her gesture and laughed at her even more.
"Come on, answer quickly! You're going to give it to me, aren't you?" asked Kylie again, who seemed impatient for Jeykey's answer.
Jeykey looked back at Kylie with an awkward smile.
"Do you want that? How about something else, like makeup or clothes? Maybe something else?" Jeykey asked Kylie back, hoping the youngest would change her mind.
"I just want that! Or, can't you get it for me?" asked Kylie as she narrowed her eyes at Jeykey.
Jeykey swallowed hard. It seemed like Kylie wanted that thing more than anything else.
"It's not that, I was just asking if maybe besides that thing you might want something else that you need more," Jeykey replied to Kylie.
"Why do you look so heavy-hearted like that? Just give her what she wants, you promised her," Charly chirped suddenly, while the others stifled laughter.
"Right, or don't you have enough money to buy her what she wants?" Jevin said in a mocking tone that made Jeykey look annoyed.
"That's not it! There could be other things she wants, right? Like a vacation, clothes, or makeup," Jeykey argued to avoid being further humiliated by his siblings.
Let alone a car, Jeykey could have given Kylie the factory considering their father is a very influential person in their country.
Kylie shook her head firmly. She already had everything, but not that one so she wanted it now. After all, Kylie was also going to use that thing to go to college and not just for style.
"I just want it, but if you can't give it...,"
Kylie paused her own words and looked at Jeykey with a sad face which made Jeykey panic in place.
"Yes, I'll buy it! Take it easy. You'll get it," Jeykey said with a panicked face.
Meanwhile, Arson and his other siblings were busy holding their stomachs because they had been laughing.
"Really? You're seriously going to buy it?" asked Kylie with a beaming face.
Jeykey only nodded weakly in response to Kylie's question, rather than his sister being disappointed by his actions.
"Dad, did you see that? Jeykey is going to buy me a Mercedes-Maybach Exelero!" said Kylie excitedly to Drake.
"Thank him," Drake told his youngest with a faint smile. He would have loved to giggle in front of his kids, but he decided against it for the sake of a name: prestige.
Kylie immediately stood up from her seat and walked over to Jeykey and hugged the tall man tightly.
"Thank you, you are the best," Kylie said sincerely.
The corners of Jeykey's lips pulled up into a faint smile on his handsome face and his hand moved to stroke the youngest's head affectionately.
"You're welcome. The day after tomorrow you can come with me to choose what kind of model you want," Jeykey said. It didn't matter if he had to deplete his savings to buy what Kylie wanted as long as he could see Kylie smiling happily like this.
Valery, who had been sitting and watching the interaction between the brothers, now stood up from her seat, attracting Carly's attention.
"Where are you going?" asked Carly with a frown on her face.
Valery smiled at her husband.
"It's dinner time soon, I'll prepare some food for you," Valery said with a sweet smile.
"We have servants, let them cook dinner," Carly said again.
"That's okay, you guys just continue the conversation and let me take care of dinner," Valery replied again.
She quickly made her way to the kitchen and left Drake and his kids who were still enjoying catching up with the youngest who had just returned after spending a few years abroad.
Tonight Valery planned to make a special dinner to welcome her youngest.
Valery's arrival in the kitchen startled the servants, but Valery just smiled at them and asked them to help her prepare dinner.
"I want you to help me prepare a special and delicious dinner to welcome Kylie. So please do it well and without mistakes," Valery told the waiters and they nodded in understanding.
As Valery began to tell them to prepare the ingredients, she also got involved by starting to cut the meat into small squares for easy eating.
Meanwhile, in the living room, Kylie was still busy telling Drake and her other siblings about her life experiences while away from them. Occasionally, Arson and Kylie would argue, but Drake would immediately intervene to calm things down.
Drake wouldn't lie if he missed his youngest too. As long as Kylie wasn't with them it felt like the big house was so quiet, especially when the four children had left for work and Drake was left alone at home so it made him so happy when he knew Kylie finally came home too after all this time, at least the girl could accompany him when he was at home.
When they were still so engrossed in their conversation that had never ended, Valery suddenly came and interrupted their conversation.
"It looks like you guys are so engrossed in your conversation that you lost track of time and didn't realize it was time for dinner," Valery told them.
"What time is it?" asked a confused Jeykey.
"It's already eight o'clock. Never mind, let's all go to the dining room because dinner is ready," Valery said again and walked ahead of them to the dining table.
Drake and his children headed straight to the dining room following Valery. When they arrived at the dining room, the delicious aroma of food immediately greeted their smell, so they immediately approached the dining table and sat down in their respective seats.
"Wow, isn't this Kylie's favorite food?" asked Charly after seeing the food made by Valery.
"Yes, I deliberately made Kylie's favorite food to welcome her," replied Valery while smiling sweetly at Kylie and the girl smiled back.
They began to eat the food made by Valery and also the servants of the house with gusto, especially Kylie who seemed to put food in her mouth without stopping.
"We won't take your food, so eat slowly or you might choke," Arson reminded the youngest, but Kylie didn't seem to care and continued to eat her food voraciously because besides being hungry, she also missed home cooking.
