Clasping Kylie's Hand Tightly

1561 Words
Sure enough, the luxurious black four-wheelers sped up, cutting through the night streets that looked a little deserted, making some of the cars behind them that had been following them also increase their speed. The bodyguards did not want to lose track of the son and daughter of the infamous Mafia boss because it would get them into big trouble. All the bodyguards knew Drake would not spare them if anything happened to one of his family members, let alone the old man's flesh and blood. "That's it, that's it. Slow down! I know you're good at driving too," pleaded Arson who was still sitting casually beside Kylie. "Why? You're scared, huh?" replied Kylie with a glance while raising her chin. "I'm not scared, I just feel sorry for those behind us," said Arson as he looked back to remind the girl beside him that they were not just going alone, but also some people who had been assigned by their father. "No problem, right? They can also increase the speed of their car," said Kylie casually who was still traveling quite fast. Arson shook his head. That was not the point of the handsome young man's words, he was only thinking of the safety of the few people behind them. Arson didn't want just because he follow Kylie's madness to make their cars all lose their balance and then, there was an accident because Arson knew some of the men assigned to follow them also had small families. Drake Adams' eldest son did not want a stupid mistake to take the lives of all of them, even though Arson forgot that after they decided to join working in the Adams family, that's where they would give up their lives to death if one day they died in carrying out the missions and tasks given by Drake, or saving the Adams family from hostages as well as terror sent by Drake's black market enemies. "Wouldn't you feel sorry if the children of our bodyguards had to lose their father in an accident while following Drake's youngest daughter? It would also be a subject of ridicule by our Daddy's enemies, and could even be a great opportunity for our family's enemies to bring down Daddy's name by saying that you drove the car irregularly," Arson said still calmly sitting, without the slightest fear of Kylie's speed in driving. Hearing the words of the man beside her made the beautiful girl immediately slow down. She was reminded of the stranger's words, where a child had to lose both parents because of a big mistake. After making sure that the vehicle driven by Kylie slowed down, Arson also glanced at the rearview mirror on his left side. The handsome man could see that several cars behind him were also slowing down. "It's much better like this. We can enjoy the moment beautifully tonight," Arson said as he looked at Kylie. He leaned back against the car's headrest and flashed a sweet smile. The youngest suddenly turned to Arson. For some reason, Kylie felt that Arson's words were a little different, like a man talking to his girlfriend. However, Kylie quickly refocused on the road. She couldn't get her hopes up. Wasn't it true that if the vehicles drove more slowly, then they could enjoy the beautiful city of Milan at night? Kylie just nodded her head and smiled in response to her eldest's words. "This car is nice. I like it," Kylie suddenly said about her new car. The girl didn't know what topic she wanted to talk to Arson about. Arson smiled. He too was happy that the girl he loved was happy, especially with what the young man had given her. "How long have you wanted this car?" asked Arson, who continued to stare at Kylie. He seemed reluctant to take his eyes off Kylie's beautiful face. Kylie made a face as if she was thinking. "I'm also confused because I don't want it, it's just that suddenly Jeykey said he would give me a gift according to my request. Well, I'll just mention the car that my friends in Germany are loving. They are even competing to have it," Kylie replied. I don't know if she's lying or if that's what she meant. Didn't she also say that she wanted the luxury car before, but now she seems to be saying that it was just a prank to play on Jeykey? "Don't you want to compete with them to show each other luxury cars like this? Can't you also buy it just by calling Daddy, then Daddy will give it to you within minutes," Arson said again, sounding a little arrogant. Arson's words for the Drake family are very reasonable, but it is quite different if heard by the ears of ordinary people. It would sound very arrogant and always rely on the wealth of their parents because no one knows how much wealth the Adams family has. Kylie immediately folded her lips, not liking the sentence that came out of Arson's mouth. "You shouldn't talk like that, Son. We shouldn't show off what we have because there are many people out there who are not as lucky as us and it will also provoke Daddy's enemies to destroy our family because of their envy," Kylie said at length in what seemed to be just one breath. Kylie's words sound so mature. Arson did not mean what he said, he knew that Kylie would give a heartfelt answer. Drake had indeed taught them not to be arrogant, but that didn't mean it was easy to be trampled by others. Arson raised his hand and placed it on Kylie's head and then, ruffled the girl's hair. "It turns out that you still remember every word taught by Daddy. I thought you had forgotten them from living in Germany so much," Arson said. The smile given by the young man looked so sincere and warm. Kylie was caught off guard by the smile her eldest gave her. She wanted to say that the smile was given specifically for her, but Kylie knew that here she was a brother. So it's likely that what Arson did and gave her was simply family warmth. "I was only in Germany for three years, not decades. Don't overdo it, Son! There's no way I'm just going to forget every word Daddy says," Kylie replied to Arson's answer. Arson just laughed at Kylie's words, coupled with the girl's folded face. Unnoticed because they were too busy chatting, their iron carriage had entered the city center. Kylie looked surprised to see the crowd there, while Arson seemed normal. After parking the car, Kylie asked the man beside her, "What's the event here? Why is it so crowded? Not like usual," Kylie asked while continuing to look at the crowd while holding on to the steering wheel. Three years away is enough to make a place change in an instant. "I forgot to tell you that tonight there's a night market and some culinary events here," Arson replied. Kylie immediately turned her head towards Arson while moving her lips forward. "How wicked! I mean if I hadn't asked you here, I probably wouldn't have known until tomorrow and you wouldn't have told me either," Kylie grumbled with a pouty face at the man who had managed to make her fall in love. "Not really. I wanted to tell you when I gave you the car keys earlier, but I forgot. It's also your fault for asking me about my girlfriend and insisting that I say yes when it's obvious that I don't have any girlfriends!" said Arson, who could also talk more than usual, trying to defend himself. Kylie didn't answer, the girl just made a mocking face at Arson. "Yes, do you still want to stay here or come down? Didn't you say you wanted to buy a lot of ice cream?" said Arson diverting the conversation between them. If it continued to be discussed, then there would be no end to it. Kylie would not budge and continued to turn on Arson. Kylie smiled widely at the man who was already the CEO of Drake's company. "Let's go!" said Kylie, who immediately opened the door without waiting for Arson, who had wanted to open the door for the woman who had managed to melt his heart. His wish had failed. Arson could only sigh when the girl he loved was already outside and ready to close the car door again. Arson hurried downstairs, he didn't want anything to happen to Kylie, even though he knew all the bodyguards were already guarding around the youngest. "Come on, let's go, let's walk around, and then we'll get some ice cream," Arson said. Kylie immediately nodded. She also wanted to see what was in the night market, she even planned to enjoy the games available there if Arson allowed it because for them alone it was not as easy as ordinary people. There are many things to think about, especially in a public place like this. Kylie was taken aback when Arson suddenly took her hand. The girl even glanced at her hand which was tightly grasped by the eldest. Kylie smiled faintly, where only she could see and feel that happiness. The girl continued to follow wherever Arson took her.
