Arson Sulk

Arson's iron carriage drove away from the Leo family residence. There was no conversation between Arson and Kylie. Arson chose to remain silent, holding back his jealousy and resentment towards Devian. The eldest son of Drake Adams saw that Devian seemed to have feelings for the woman he loved.

Kylie also became confused about what to do, seeing Arson who did not speak at all. The girl thought that Arson was angry with her for coming home late, Kylie did not know the reason behind it all.

"I'm sorry. I promise tomorrow I won't do it again," Kylie said while looking at Arson with her hands intertwined.

There was no response from the man sitting beside her, Arson continued to focus on the road with a flat face.

"Arson, I'm sorry," said Kylie again who continued to look at the handsome man.

Drake Adams' eldest son still chose to remain silent and did not say a word.

Kylie, who was annoyed that her words were not answered by Arson, made Drake's favorite daughter say again, "Arson, I'm talking to you. Didn't you hear it?"

Arson, who was already annoyed, immediately pulled his car over, making all the bodyguards behind him do the same and then stand by. They thought that a surprise attack would endanger their young lady and young master.

"I heard it! Heard it!" said Arson with a sharp gaze at Kylie and a slight emphasis on the last word of his sentence.

"Why didn't you answer him?" asked Kylie with an annoyed face.

"From today onwards, I don't want you getting too close to Devian! Whatever the reason, I don't accept it and won't allow you to do so!" said Arson with a gaze that was still sharply directed at Kylie. That sentence was all that could come out of his mouth.

Kylie furrowed her brows. "So why can't I be close to Devian? He's Chloe's brother so I have to be polite and friendly to him. You're so weird, Son. Give me a reason not to be friends with Devian?" said Kylie. The girl made a displeased face at Arson who seemed to be managing her life.

"You want to contradict me, Kyl? If I've said no, it's still no. Either that or you can no longer be friends with Chloe and Daisy! Now the choice is yours," Arson said again so firmly that there was no denying it. The man immediately ordered Chloe to think about making a decision.

Kylie looked away and snorted in annoyance at the words that came out of Arson's mouth.

"You can't force me and manage me like that, Son. I also want to have friends, just like everyone else," said Kylie who did not know the real reason for the words that came out of Arson's mouth.

"Don't argue with me, Kylie! I don't like to be argued with!" said Arson, raising his tone slightly, making Kylie startled and immediately turn to the man.

"Don't control my life, Son! You're not my lover, let alone my husband so you have no right to forbid me from being close to anyone or even any man!" said Kylie who also shouted. The girl didn't realize that she had hurt Arson's feelings with her words.

Hearing the sentence that came out of Kylie's mouth made Arson realize that he had no right to regulate Kylie to be close to anyone, even when Kylie wanted to get to know a strange man outside because it was the right of the girl, while he did not have any authority to regulate Kylie's life. He was just her brother, as everyone knew, even Kylie herself. Devastated, that's how he felt. His heart was crushed by the words that pierced his chest cavity. Arson's blood flow seemed to stop until it made his bones weak and powerless.

You're right, Kyl. I don't have any right to rule over you. It was wrong of me to love you. I shouldn't have continued to nurture this feeling until it grew this deep, Arson said inwardly as he continued to stare deeply into Kylie's eyes.

Not a word of speech came out of the handsome man's mouth. Arson leaned back against the car seat and stared straight ahead to continue their journey back home.

Kylie realized that her words were too harsh and cruel to Arson. The girl felt guilty, especially when she realized the change in Arson's face and made the man unable to say a word. Kylie knew Arson very well if the man just fell silent like that, it was a sign that Arson was offended.

"I'm sorry, Son. I didn't mean to yell at you!" Kylie said.

That was not the sentence Kylie wanted to say, the girl wanted to say that the man did not need to continue to pay attention because it would make her even more sick with the love she had that Arson would never reciprocate. Kylie wanted to be free and start throwing those feelings away before Arson introduced a woman to their family, but that didn't mean she wanted to get to know Devian further to become a lover. She only considered Devian as a friend, just like Chloe and Daisy, there would never be more feelings for that man.

Of course not. Love is not as easy as turning the palm, it is very difficult to feel the name of falling in love, and it takes years to be able to believe that it is really sincere love for someone.

There was no reply from Arson, the man was deafened by Kylie's words.

While outside, Arson immediately threw the car keys to one of the guards who welcomed his return with Kylie.

"Kylie is still inside. After she comes out, then you reorganize the parking lot!" Arson told the bodyguard, without even looking at his car, where Kylie continued to stare at him.

"Yes sir," the bodyguard replied. The man saw that Arson was not in a good mood, perhaps it was Kylie's late return that had put him in a bad mood.

Kylie also got out of Arson's car, while her luxury car which was given as a gift from the handsome man was taken by Garvin and is currently parked not far from Arson's car.

Kylie stepped languidly into their mansion. The girl felt even more guilty to Arson for her words because it seemed like the handsome man was angry with her, the proof was not even saying goodbye to her.

"Are you home yet, Kyl?" asked Valery when Kylie was already on the second floor heading to her room.

Kylie immediately put on a smiling face towards her second brother's wife.

"Yes, I'm sorry for coming home a little late," Kylie replied.

Valery looked at Arson's room which was not far from Kylie's room then turned back to look at the girl standing in front of her.

"What's wrong with Arson? He seems angry," Valery asked.

The young pregnant woman had crossed paths with Arson earlier and he did not return her smile. Unusually, despite his reputation for coldness, Arson would return Valery's greeting since she was already a member of his family. However, this time Arson's face looked sour.

"He's mad at me," Kylie replied with a sad face.

"Is it because you came home late?" asked Valery again, completely unaware of what had happened between Drake Adams' son and daughter.

"Not really," the girl replied in a very quiet voice and managed to make Valery furrow her brow.

Kylie finally told Valery what had happened earlier in Arson's car, where the man asked Drake's youngest daughter to stay away from Devian for no reason and made Kylie upset and then, said in a fairly strong tone to Arson because for Kylie there was no problem if she was just friends with Devian, considering that the man was her friend's brother. It's even better if they know each other, at least they can protect Kylie and Daisy like Kylie's four brothers and Daren did.

Valery didn't comment at all on the explanation that Kylie had just given, she felt a little confused with Arson because it sounded very excessive with what the man did.
