Daisy was really happy when Jeykey accepted the food she gave him. The girl never thought that the son and daughter of Drake Adams could appreciate others, even with food that was not much, and that they could even buy the factory directly. However, they were still willing to accept it, even before that, both Kylie and Jeykey were thinking about Daisy's siblings and parents and whether they had been spared by the beautiful girl.
Her admiration for Drake's fourth son is growing.
"Mr. Jeykey, thank you very much for accepting this meager gift from me, once again I thank you. Then excuse me to go back to class," Daisy said while bowing half of her body and immediately turned to leave the handsome man's presence.
Daisy's heart was racing, she didn't think she could face the muscular man for too long.
"Wait," Jeykey said.
Daisy turned her head back.
"Let me take you to make sure you're really back in the classroom, I'm afraid you'll go to the cafeteria instead," Jeykey said.
The girl standing in front of Jeykey was surprised, even though Dasiy never did that, even at recess she preferred to sit in the garden while finishing the lunch brought by her mother.
"No need, Mr. Jeykey. I don't want to trouble you," Daisy refused.
Kylie's new friend didn't want to be indebted to Drake's son again because Daisy didn't know how to repay the favor. If it wasn't for all the classmates who gave her so much food, she would still be confused about how to repay the kindness of the three people.
"I'd rather go through the trouble of seeing one of the students on this campus skip class," Jeykey said, but that was just the man's excuse.
I don't know why he suddenly wanted to take Daisy back to her class as if he wanted to spend time with her even if it was only for a few minutes.
Daisy immediately folded her face. "I've never skipped class, sir. You can ask all my friends," Daisy said, not accepting Jeykey's words.
The handsome man squinted his eyes. "I don't believe it. You could have done it today, considering there is no Viola so you can go wherever you want," Jeykey said again, deliberately making Daisy upset.
Sure enough, the girl folded her face even more.
"Are you accusing me, sir? I don't accept that," said Daisy, who seemed to forget who the person in front of her was.
Jeykey raised one eyebrow. "What do you want to do?"
The handsome man's question made Daisy realize that she had said the wrong thing and immediately covered her mouth with her hand and shook her head with a scared face.
Ouch, why did I say the wrong thing? Why did I threaten him back? What if Mr. Jeykey gets angry? I might end up in the dungeon with him, Daisy said to herself.
Jeykey suddenly laughed in his heart when he saw the reaction shown by the friend of the youngest. He was completely smitten with the girl standing in front of him, unlike the other girls who were always trying to get his attention. However, Daisy was very different. Even though the girl was standing in front of him, he seemed to be ordinary. Jeykey wondered if Daisy wasn't mesmerized by his good looks, which made the girl seem ordinary when confronted directly. Meanwhile, other female students will become misbehaving, especially if they are face to face for a long time like Jeykey and Daisy are doing right now.
"I'm sorry, sir. I mean, I'll be back to class soon. Ah, yes, that's what I meant," said a nervous Daisy. She then turned around to run away from Jeykey.
"If you leave, then I will...,"
"No, sir. I'm not leaving. I just want to make sure that there are no lecturers here," Daisy cut Jeykey off quickly with a big smile.
The fourth son of Drake knew full well that he was lying, so he tried to hold his laughter in.
"Alright then, we go back to your class now. I don't want any of the students to be late for class because it will give this campus a bad reputation. I've had enough of that damn uncle and nephew embarrassing me with their behavior," Jeykey said as he stepped up and pulled Daisy's hand unceremoniously, making the girl widen her eyes.
Daisy could only follow Jeykey's lead without daring to resist and let go of his hand, afraid of offending him again.
They arrived at the elevator which was also followed by some of the man's men, while Kylie's two bodyguards had already left first.
Jeykey saw from the reflection of the glass that Daisy kept staring at their hands, where he was still holding the girl's hand tightly.
"It looks like you're so happy to hold my hand that you don't want to let go," Jeykey teased Daisy. He was the one holding her hand tightly.
"Huh?"
Daisy was so surprised by the man's words that she raised her head. Daisy tried to pull her hand away, but couldn't because Jeykey tightened his grip even more.
"Sorry, sir. You're the one holding my hand, not me," Daisy said, trying to defend herself.
"No, I'm not. You are lying. This is proof that you're holding my hand," Jeykey said as he lifted his hand, which was still linked to Daisy's, but reversed the position with the girl's hand on top as if it was Daisy who was holding her hand.
It was a little pushy because it was obvious that the man was the one doing what he was saying.
Daisy was surprised again. Everyone who saw it knew that Jeykey was the one who was holding her, not her.
"No, sir. It was you who grabbed her. Just ask them the truth!" said Daisy, who asked Jeykey to ask all of the man's bodyguards.
"What did you see?" asked Jeykey to all his bodyguards.
"Miss Daisy is holding your hand," replied one of the men standing behind them.
Daisy widened her eyes and looked towards the source of the sound.
"You're lying. It was Mr. Jeykey who was holding it, not me," the girl said, visibly annoyed at the answer given by Kylie's brother's men.
The bodyguard did not answer, while Jeykey seemed to smile without Daisy noticing.
"Sir, you can't lie like that. Especially to the point of threatening them not to tell the truth," Daisy said, trying to remind Jeykey that what his men were doing was wrong. It was obvious that the man with the fierce face was lying, to protect their young master.
Jeykey smiled so sweetly at Daisy, making the girl almost faint from being mesmerized by the good looks that became even more apparent after the man smiled widely, but tried hard to keep it from being seen in front of the man.
"No, I'm just kidding. Yes, I'm the one holding your hand. It's okay like this, you're a friend of Kylie's. I don't want you to get left behind or fall because that girl would be very angry with me if something happened to her friend," Jeykey said and then approached Daisy. "You don't know how fierce she is when she's at home." The man said again as he backed away.
"Is Kylie very naggy at home?" asked Daisy, who seemed to forget her annoyance with Jeykey because the discussion about her friend was much more interesting.
Jeykey nodded. "Very, very loud and she doesn't stop talking," Jeykey replied and managed to make the girl beside him round her lips.
"Very different from her daily life," Daisy said.
The elevator doors opened, letting them all out. As they walked towards Daisy's class, Jeykey asked what the girl meant by what she said about her youngest brother.
Daisy said that Kylie had a hard face with a sharp gaze as if she was intimidating to those who saw her. The girl's authority was very visible, even though she was a woman, but no less frightening than her other four brothers.
"You don't know how cruel Kylie is, she's even scarier than Jevin. She inherited Daddy's disposition as well as Arson's. I never thought I'd have a sister who's like a man when it comes to fighting," said Jeykey, who didn't hesitate to tell the girl beside him about Kylie. Even though the man was also assigned to continue spying on Daisy if there was anything suspicious about the girl, whether she sincerely wanted to be friends with Kylie as ordered by Drake.
"Is that true? Can she also fight with men?" Daisy asked.
It's a question that doesn't make sense and shouldn't be asked when it's clear that Kylie is the daughter of a notorious mobster.
"You're right, she can also fight those guys and not just one guy, she can even face three parties at once. Of course, for those who have martial arts knowledge under Kylie, if that person's ability is more, then we will intervene. She's just a young lady after all," Jeykey said with a laugh mocking his brother. It was fun for the man, especially if Kylie wasn't around, so he wouldn't waste the opportunity.
Because they were too busy chatting, they didn't realize they were in front of Daisy's classroom. All the students who were in the classroom who saw Jeykey's presence escorting the simple girl made Daisy's classmates even more afraid to bother Daisy, let alone to do bad things like Viola and the girl's three friends did. They wanted to win Daisy's heart so that they could be her friends and not get punished by Kylie and Jeykey.
As for Chloe, the girl had already entered her class. However, not with Kylie. Drake's daughter was still wandering around the campus because yesterday she felt unsatisfied exploring by one the floors and also several parks around her father's campus. Kylie felt that someone was watching, making the girl sharpen her eyes to make sure that she was not mistaken.
Kylie widened her eyes after realizing the person was familiar.
