"Sir, why don't you just finish the old man off? I'm getting tired of his nagging!" said Oxley's confidant after the departure of the man who claimed to be Uncle Kylie.
Oxley smiled. "Be patient, it won't be long, just a little while. Let it go first, I still really need him. If there is no him, then I will also find it difficult to get close to Kylie. Only that man can convince the girl that he is not a member of the Adams family," Oxley replied without looking at his confidant.
"I'm afraid he'll do whatever he wants," said the man standing next to Oxley.
"You just calm down, that will never happen if it does, then I'll shoot her on sight," Oxley said again to the man beside him. There was no reply from Oxley's confidant, he would still follow the orders given by his boss.
There was no conversation between them throughout breakfast, Arson seemed to be himself by putting on a flat face, even making Kylie afraid she had to start a conversation between them because Kylie knew that Arson must still be angry with her because of the incident at that time. Likewise with the others, they looked confused to see Kylie only silent. Usually the girl who most often started the conversation among them, coupled with Jeykey, but this no one dared to start a conversation in the middle of them making them all choose to join in silence.
"Arson, are you still mad at me?" asked Kylie when she met Drake's first son on her way to campus.
Arson turned to the petite girl who was now standing beside him.
"No, no. Didn't I tell you last night that I'm not angry? Why ask again?" Arson replied with a flat face.
Kylie continued to stare at Arson's face who was now looking at her.
"You're lying. If you weren't angry with me, why didn't you want to take me to campus today and also just stay silent during breakfast?" said Kylie who did not move her gaze even a little.
"I didn't want to drive you, but I have a lot of work today and I forgot to tell you that today I have to go out of town for two days," said Arson, telling the reason why he didn't drive Kylie to campus as usual.
Kylie narrowed her eyes. "Out of town? Why didn't you tell me last night?" said Kylie.
The girl was suddenly sad because, for the next two days, she could not meet with Arson, even though just looking at the man's face made Kylie excited to live her days. Even Kylie was like Arson's girlfriend who sounded protested over Arson's decision to go see his work.
"I told you earlier, I forgot to tell you," said Arson.
"You didn't forget, but on purpose because you're still angry with me," said Kylie who didn't want to lose.
Arson didn't answer, the man just kept staring at Kylie. It was true what the girl said if he still had resentment towards Kylie that made him forget that today he would leave the girl for two days. In fact, Arson wanted to leave in a happy state considering the work he would take care of was very much, but Kylie just made his mood worse.
"Never mind, there's no need to discuss that," Arson said, ending the discussion between the two.
Kylie could no longer answer, so she chose to remain silent. Almost all night Kylie kept thinking about Arson, she didn't want to become indifferent to Arson just because of the small mistakes she made. Kylie wanted to always be with the man who was her current encouragement.
"Then, I'll go first. Remember, as long as I'm not home, don't make any noise until Daddy finds out about your mischief yesterday," Arson said to the girl who was still staring at him.
"Don't say that! I've never been a troublemaker and only yesterday I didn't come home on time," replied Kylie who was getting annoyed because Arson kept talking about it.
"Look! I just said that you're already protesting," the man said again.
"Yes, yes, all right. I won't repeat what I did yesterday." Kylie said as she waved her hand with a sour face. "But first I want to thank you for not telling Daddy about yesterday's problem, so I didn't get punished," Kylie said again, who had not yet said that to Arson.
"There's no need to thank me. It's just your brother's job like you said, isn't it?" said Arson as he emphasized the last part of his sentence and made Kylie fall silent.
Kylie's silence was not because of the man's words, but it was true that her words yesterday were directed as Arson had just said. However, Kylie tried hard to refrain from saying that Arson misunderstood. The real point of his words was that he didn't want to get special treatment from Arson if, in the end, he couldn't have that man. It hurt a lot to get attention only as a brother, while the man's heart and body would one day belong to another woman.
Seeing Kylie who was only silent made Arson return to say goodbye to the beautiful girl with blue beads, not forgetting that Arson also kissed Kylie's forehead long enough and succeeded in making Drake Adams' favorite daughter widen her eyes. Her eyeballs widened so big. She had never received such treatment from her three other brothers, which made Kylie wonder even more. What kind of attention did Arson give her? Did he think of her as a lover or just a brotherly affection as the girl often thought? Isn't a kiss on the forehead a symbol of expressing sincere love from a man to his lover, as a sign of gentle treatment to a partner?
Arson walked away from Kylie to his luxury car, he would go to the office first and then go out of town as scheduled. The man had to take care of his company's branch and he often did that once a month to check on everything there. Arson didn't want his branch company to run into problems with both finances and workers.
Kylie continued to escort Arson away until the man disappeared from her sight. Likewise with the handsome man behind the wheel, he continued to stare at Kylie from the rearview mirror of his car. Not long after, the girl smiled sweetly while holding her forehead, which still felt Arson's lips pressed there.
"What I did should have made you understand that the feelings I have are not just as a brother, but I want something more. However, it seems that in your heart, my place is only as your eldest brother, nothing more than that! The proof is that you don't understand the feelings I have at all," Arson said as he continued to glance at Kylie from the rearview mirror.
Repeatedly, Arson's sweet deeds were noticed by someone, making that person very sure that there was something hidden by Arson from Kylie because if it was just a coincidence, it would not have been caught by his eyesight repeatedly.
"Very strange. Strange," said the person.
It wasn't long before Jeykey came over to Kylie.
"Want to go with me?" the man asked.
Kylie immediately shook her head strongly. "No, I don't. I have my car," Kylie replied.
"Will Arson and Daddy let you?" asked Jeykey because he knew that his eldest sister wouldn't let Kylie go alone, especially since she already knew that someone was spying on her.
Drake's youngest daughter just nodded, even though she did not hear Arson and her father say it directly, but if he said no, then Jeykey would take her and she did not want to be with anyone. Perhaps today until Arson's return, the girl would prefer to be alone while continuing to try to control the feelings she had for Arson. So after the man she loved came home, she hoped her feelings would ease a little.
"Alright then, I'll go first. Remember, you have to stay chaperoned, if you violate it, then I'll complain to Daddy," Jeykey said as he ruffled Kylie's hair.
The treatment was very different from what Arson had done before. So it wasn't Kylie's fault if she had more feelings for Arson, because he was the one who made her fall in love with him and it was hard to get rid of those feelings and then, consider Arson just like another brother.
Kylie gave the okay symbol using her fingers to Jeykey then she also stepped into her luxury sports car, a gift from the man she loved. All the bodyguards also got into their respective cars to escort Drake Adams' favorite daughter to her destination. If she knew Arson wasn't going with her today, then she would call Daisy to pick the girl up.
Arriving at their campus grounds, Kylie immediately parked her car neatly. Although she was the daughter of the owner of the campus, she didn't want to be arbitrary, let alone set a bad example for all the students there. Again Kylie did not find Jeykey there, the man always left before coming to campus and Kylie did not know where he was, even lately Jeykey often returned later than usual, with the excuse of extra hours from the lecturer.
Kylie was about to step inside but decided against it when she saw someone's car stop not far from her. It wasn't long before Chloe and Daisy got out of the car. It was certain that the person behind the wheel was Devian because only that man could pick Chloe up in his spare time, very different from Dixon as Chloe herself had explained, that the eldest brother of the tomboy girl was very busy and Chloe did not want to interfere with the work of the eldest son of the Leo family.
"Morning Kyl," Chloe and Daisy said simultaneously.
"Morning," Kylie replied to the two girls who stood smiling at her.
It wasn't long before Devian came down and stepped closer to Chloe and Daisy. The man immediately greeted the beautiful girl who had disturbed his sleep last night.
"Aren't you busy today?" Kylie asked Devian.
Hearing Kylie's question managed to make Devian confused about Kylie's question, as well as the two girls who stood not far from Leo's second son.
"I mean, do you not have a lot of work to be able to take Chloe today?" Kylie asked to dispel the confusion felt by Devian.
Oh, that's what she meant. I thought she wanted to take me somewhere to ask me how busy I was today. Why did I get my hopes up, you're so cute Devian! he said to himself. For some reason, he suddenly felt disappointed by Kylie's explanation.
"It just so happens that today is not too busy and I haven't taken Chloe for a few days so I have to make time so that this girl doesn't sulk," said Devian who followed what Jeykey did before leaving for campus earlier. The man ruffled Chloe's hair making the girl rebel while scowling, justifying her hair that was ruffled due to Devian's actions.
Kylie nodded her head, understanding Devian's words.
"Already, hurry up and get in before it's too late!" Devian ordered the three girls in front of him, but Devian's eyes occasionally glanced at Kylie.
"It won't be late because the time is still long," Chloe replied to her second sister's words.
"But you'd better go straight to class or stay inside the building. So even if the bell rings, you don't have to run to your respective classes," Devian said again.
The three girls laughed at Devian's words, making the man look confused.
"Yes, we better go in now!" said Kylie then smiled at Devian making the man embarrassed, and immediately tried hard to restrain himself from being seen by Drake's youngest daughter.
The three girls took a step, and suddenly Devian held the bag used by Chloe, making Devian's sister stop her steps then turned to the man and then, pulled Chloe to get away from Kylie and Daisy.
Realizing that Chloe was not near them the two girls turn around, looking for their friend's whereabouts.
Chloe looked confused by what Devian was doing.
"What's wrong?" she asked.
Devian tried to cover her sister's body and then whispered, "Can I ask for Kylie's number?"
Hearing the question from Chloe immediately smiled seductively at Devian.
"What for? It looks like you're really in love," Chloe asked her second brother.
"No, it's not like that. I just wanted to keep it. I already have Daisy's number so if anything happens to you, I can call your two friends," replied Devian who was very good at making excuses but Chloe didn't believe the man's words.
Chloe continued to make a seductive face with a smile that tried to be restrained towards Devian, making the man look awkward, and then scratched his eyebrows that were not itchy, while Kylie and Daisy also looked confused at the two siblings who were involved in the conversation.
"Yes, if you don't want to give it," said Devian, who seemed resigned to his sister not telling him.
Chloe then laughed and managed to make Kylie and Daisy immediately raise their eyebrows.
"What are they talking about?" Daisy asked Kylie in a half-whisper.
"I don't know, but I think Chloe was flirting with Devian," she replied, shaking her head and making Daisy nod.
The two returned their attention to the two sisters who were engaged in what seemed to be a semi-serious conversation.
"Just like that, you're already sulking. Many people say that if it looks sensitive, it means that the person is in love," said Chole while teasing Devian with his hand which moved to take out his flat object from his pants pocket, and then his fingers surfed on the rectangular object.
"Here, take notes! When you get close to Kylie, don't forget to tell me and treat me and Daisy," Chloe said as she thrust her smart object towards Devian.
The man also looked happy, as seen from the look on his face which unconsciously smiled then quickly took his cellphone and recorded the phone number of the daughter of the owner of the college where his sister was studying.
"Your face looks so happy," Chloe said again then put the flat object away and managed to make Devian widen his eyes.
Chloe didn't care about Devian's glare, she ran over to Kylie and Daisy and waved at her brother.
Devian continued to usher her away as the girls, especially Kylie, completely disappeared from his sight. He smiled at the flat object in his hand.
"There's no harm in trying. I don't want to hurt Kylie so there's no need to fear the Adams family. If Kylie doesn't reciprocate my feelings, then I will stay away from her slowly," Devian said with a smile that grew wider adorning his handsome face.
