Forgive Us, Daisy

1950 Words
Today was not the day Daisy could enjoy her morning in peace, usually, the girl was always scared when she entered the campus gate because Viola and her three friends would bother her, even though she had never made any mistakes. Viola would come up with any excuse to embarrass Daisy in front of all their classmates, but this morning Daisy didn't notice the presence of the four girls at all. Last night she'd gotten word from Chloe that Viola and her three friends were still hospitalized. At least for the next few days, she won't feel the beatings and insults from Viola and her group. Daisy continued to focus on the textbook in front of her, as always there and no Viola there she must continue to study so that her academic grades do not decline. Suddenly a chocolate landed right on top of her book making Daisy turn her head quickly, wanting to see who the owner of the food was. "Daisy this is for you. I'm sorry, I haven't helped you at all when you got bad treatment from Viola. Will you forgive me?" said a female student. Daisy was really surprised to hear her friend's words. "You don't need to apologize to me, it's not your fault. Is this really for me?" Daisy asked, pointing to the chocolate that was still lying on top of her book. Daisy was afraid that it was just a lie made by her friend to deceive her. The girl standing next to Daisy nodded strongly, "Yes, it's for you. Don't you want to forgive me?" the girl said again. "Thank you very much and I told you, don't apologize like that. You are innocent," Daisy told the girl again. Daisy never blamed her friends for Viola's treatment of her because the girl knew the position of all of them who must have been afraid of Viola's threat to report them all to the Rector if they helped her. "Did you forgive me, Daisy? You're not lying, are you?" the girl asked hopefully. "Yes, I told you that you were innocent," said Daisy again who kept repeating the same sentence because the simple girl did not want to blame anyone for the bullying carried out by Viola. "Thank you very much, Daisy. Will you be my friend now?" said the girl again while extending her hand as a sign of apology and friendship to Daisy. Daisy was very happy to hear the last words from her classmate. She had been waiting for everyone to say something like that for a long time and today, it was as if she had dreamed of hearing what she had wanted all along. Kylie's new friend smiled as she returned her friend's hand. "Yes, I want to. Thank you for being my friend," Daisy said. From her tone, the girl seemed happy. It was not only the female student who did so and gave something to Daisy, several people also began to approach Daisy. They took turns giving chocolates, snacks, fries, flowers, and even bottles of water to Daisy as an apology. Daisy was really surprised and did not expect what had just happened. She was already very grateful and happy for not getting bad treatment from Viola, let alone the kindness done by her classmates. They all compactly did that because they all felt guilty for the girl who had just become Kylie Adams' friend. The influence of Kylie is very big, they are afraid that Kylie will find out that they have not apologized to Daisy, but from one side they also realize that all this time Viola has gone too far. Even though Daisy has never done anything wrong, Daisy is a smart student and has never made the slightest noise or noise in their class. Daisy was getting happier, she didn't expect this to happen. One person alone had done that already made her touched, let alone this one class did it simultaneously, making her even more unable to express it anymore. If there was a word above happy, then she would show it to the morning sun that was still shining on the earth. The girl who had a lot of patience should be very grateful to Kylie because this was all a favor from her new friend. Otherwise, she might still be in pain all over her body from what Viola did to her. Daisy stared at all the food on the table, all of which the girl thought she couldn't fit in her bag. "Daren must be so happy to see this much food," she said and put in some chocolate two potato chips, and a bottle of drink for her brother. The girl felt very sorry for her youngest as he had to live a life of deprivation. Never mind buying a lot of food outside, their pocket money was very limited, even Daren often brought lunch to save the family money. Daisy didn't take all the food home because she would share it with Kylie, Chloe, and Jeykey as a thank-you for helping her get away from Viola. Daydreaming struck Daisy again, she was still thinking about what her parents had told her to stay away from Kylie. If only her parents knew what had happened to her and what Kylie had done to help her escape from Viola, maybe her mother and father would not have the heart to say such words and would be very grateful to Drake's daughter. However, Daisy was not able to tell her parents everything because it would certainly make the couple sad, because their daughter received harsh treatment from a classmate from high school. Daisy just wanted her parents to be happy and proud when she was able to get into a fancy school for her achievements. Daisy has always insisted in her heart that she will accept whatever happens at school without telling everything to her parents because Daisy knows that her mother and father have high hopes for her future life that will help their lives, especially being able to help her youngest brother, Daren. The simple girl kept thinking of how to tell Kylie that she couldn't be friends with one of the heirs to the Adams family fortune without offending Kylie. Amid her reverie, she wondered how she could avoid Kylie, while she had yet to repay her debt of gratitude. It didn't make sense for her to do that, it seemed like a very ignorant person, Daisy didn't want Kylie to think badly of her. She also wanted to be friends with Kylie, not because Kylie had power and she could use it, but Daisy could see the sincerity of the youngest daughter of Drake Adams to her, just like the sincerity of friendship that Chloe had given her so far. Chloe, who had just arrived, immediately saw Daisy from behind the door, her friend was daydreaming, making the slightly tomboyish girl enter Daisy's class. She was afraid that her friend would again get bad treatment from Daisy's classmates. The youngest of the three siblings was surprised to see so many snacks on Daisy's table that the girl furrowed her brow. "What's going on? Why are you daydreaming? Is something still bothering you?" asked Chloe, who immediately pulled the chair next to Daisy and sat on it. Daisy woke up from her daydream. "What?" asked Daisy. The girl didn't hear Chloe's question. "Why are you daydreaming? Is someone still messing with you?" Chloe repeated her question and firmly believed that something was happening to her friend with a furrowed brow. Daisy shook her head quickly, not wanting Chloe to get suspicious. "No need to lie!" Chloe said as she looked back at the bench. "You brought a lot of food, not like usual?" Chloe asked curiously because she didn't usually see Daisy like that. Daisy shook her head again, "No, it's not my lunch," the girl replied. Chloe made a confused face at the girl sitting next to her. "Then whose is it, and why is it on your desk?" Chloe asked again. The girl who was fighting with her mind to stay away from Kylie explained that it was all a gift from her classmates. Not only that, they all apologized to Daisy for never helping the girl when she got bad treatment from Viola and her three friends. Chloe rounded her lips and nodded her head, now she understood. Daisy's hand slid some of the snacks towards Chloe. "These are for you. I'll give the rest to Kylie and Mr. Jeykey," she said as she placed the packets of snacks on the table Chloe was sitting on. Chloe was surprised again when she heard the name of one of Drake's sons on the list of people Daisy would give the food. If it was just Kylie's name, she probably wouldn't have made that facial expression. "Mr. Jeykey?" asked Chloe then the tomboy girl teased Daisy a little. "What? Don't get me wrong! I'm giving this food to Mr. Jeykey as a thank you for helping me yesterday. If it wasn't for you guys, Viola would still be bothering me today and I wouldn't be able to sit back and relax like I am right now," Daisy said, explaining why she also included the name of the fourth son of the owner of the college where they were studying. Daisy didn't want Chloe to misunderstand, afraid that it would spread and become gossip. She is also afraid that it will reach the Adams family because it is very dangerous. Chloe leaned closer to Daisy and whispered, "If it's for another purpose, it's okay, I'm even very happy." Daisy immediately rolled her eyes at Chloe who smiled a little. Chloe wanted to laugh, but it was impossible if she did it in front of everyone because it could bring down her pride, the tomboy girl thought. In the middle of the conversation, suddenly the two of them were surprised by all the students who immediately stood up while bowing half of their bodies, and not long greetings alternately came out of the mouths of each of the students, it turned out that the one who came was Kylie. Drake's youngest daughter immediately approached her two new friends. With a big smile, the beautiful girl waved her hand after standing near Chloe and Dais. Kylie also moved her hand to ask all the students to return to their seats as before she arrived in the classroom, she did not want to be treated special by the people there. "Have you two been coming long?" asked Kylie. "I just arrived too," Daisy replied. "I was about 15 minutes ago," Daisy chimed in. Kylie glanced at the two friends' benches. Daisy stood up and said, "Sit here." "No, it's okay. That's your chair, just sit down," Kylie said while shaking her head. Daisy reluctantly complied, even though she felt bad that the college owner's daughter was standing while they sat and relaxed. "Oh, yes Kyl. This is for you," Daisy said, standing back up to hand a few packets of snacks to Kylie. "I don't want any!" said Kylie, immediately rejecting Daisy's gift and putting the snacks back on Daisy's table. Daisy's face turned embarrassed, she should have realized that Kylie asking her to be friends didn't mean she could accept whatever she wanted. Chloe who saw it also glanced at Daisy who was still trying to smile, even though the girl knew that Daisy felt bad because Kylie did it in front of many people. Kylie shouldn't have refused directly like that. Daisy must be very embarrassed. She's such an arrogant person, Chloe said to herself.
