“A letter?“
“Yes, Alpha.“ I motioned for Tyler to collect it from him.
“You may go.“
“Yes, Alpha.“ The guard bowed and left.
“What's that?“
“It has the seal of the pack, so it's from home.“ My ribs pounded against my chest. I could only hope it's not bad news.
“Give it to me.“ I opened the envelope and hurriedly tore the seal. I almost tore the paper in haste.
I scanned the content of the letter briefly. Like I feared, it was about my mother's deteriorating health, and I was being summoned to come home quick.
How did they know I was here, though? It makes sense that they would send the message here since this was my other pack.
“Tyler, I have to go.“ I told him as I folded the letter and threw it in my drawer.
