DEVON'S POV
Everyday since Lyra and I rejected each other, I have been trying to act and go back to business as usual.
Keyword being trying.
But this morning was different, I woke up better and stronger. The pain was not as overwhelming as before. It was still there but I could say I made a major breakthrough.
I was no longer moping around. It was there and I strongly believe that it will fade with time.
I worked out for a while to boost my confidence. I then dressed up and went back to work with zeal. There was a spring in my step as I stepped into my office.
No doubt, it could only get better. Jason would come and we will choose a new Luna for the pack. I don't have to love the woman. As long as there was a mutual respect. Has to be kind and put the pack first.
