FIVE YEARS AFTER LEAVING CONCORDIA The Ark was a restful place to go when things got heated on the ship, and things had been more and more heated lately. Wilder liked to sit in one of the growing rooms, where brilliant lights overhung the lush beds, lighting the rest of the space in a soft glow. The atmosphere was warm, humid, and enriched with additional oxygen to meet the needs of the plants. Most importantly, the growing rooms were quiet.
