Exhausted, but driven by pure fear-fed adrenaline, Rein opened a doorway in the magic protective screen that surrounded the perimeter of the camp, and took off at a run looking for Jax. At nearly midnight, few people were up. Both moons were in the sky tonight, with the larger one, nearly full, giving off so much light it was almost as bright as daytime. He found Jax and Marta just coming off patrol duty. "Rein!" Marta's green eyes were instantly filled with concern. "What is it?" Jax's expression, on the other hand, hardened with suspicion and a hint of anger. "Where's the spy?" "Shush!" Rein warned him. "Not where anyone else can hear. Come on. I need to talk to you."
