Chapter 5 Moira got up and walked over to sit next to the young mother, holding her hand while the detective talked. I felt out of place and I didn't know what to do. Moira was the best listener, the natural caregiver and healer in the group. It was second nature for her to offer support and comfort. But I wanted to do something. Without drawing attention to myself, I walked out the kitchen door and onto the play area set up for the young boy.
