People say tomorrow is another day, only all days seemed the same to the five year old.
Every day she'd get the usual insults from the alpha. And every day her mom took a beating. The alpha never failed to remind her that she was a bastard and not of his blood, and her mom always made a point of soothing her sobs.
That day, the small little redhead couldn't bear to watch her mom get a beating. She stood up to the alpha despite her fear of him. It only resulted in her getting the beating of a lifetime as well. And she was left to die in the woods.
If it weren't for a raven-haired green-eyed man who was passing by, she would surely have died that day. The man treated the little girl's wounds for 2 days before she regained consciousness. It then took him 3 days to gain her trust and 3 other days before she finally spoke to him and answered his questions.
"My name's Felicity and I'm the Luna's daughter," she told him meekly. "The alpha who is not my father was the one who beat me."
"My name's Blake as I already told you and I'll have a chat with this alpha of yours," was the man's tight-lipped response. He was angry and although Felicity was scared of him, she knew deep down that he wouldn't hurt her. She'd later understand that he was angry at the alpha not at her.
He gently took her in his arms and sped to the village that was her home. They found out that her mom had died due to her last beating. Felicity sobbed into Blake's shirt as he made a phone call to the alpha ultra to report the alpha's actions.
"I'll be your guardian if you'll have me," he told her softly as he caressed her back in an attempt to calm her tears.
Seeing as Felicity had no attachment to the pack, she accepted to live with the vampire who had rescued her.
Her tomorrow didn't seem as bleak anymore.
