Chapter Twenty One I got home from Danni's house, We had really got a lot of the planning sorted, but there were a few things I had to run by Adam first. I mean, he was paying for the party and while he had made it clear that cost wasn't an issue when it came to any thing to do with Rory, I still wanted to make sure every thing ok before I went a head and started booking things.  'Adam, I'm home!'. I called out as I walked in through the front door. A few seconds later, He poked his head out of the study.  'Ok. Thanks for that announcement'. I rolled my eyes and walked over to the room. He was wandering around, files in hand. I guess he was working again...  As always.  'Hey, we need to talk'. He looked up at me, a look of confusion on his face.  'What about?'  'Rory'. He let out a loud sigh and threw the files on his desk before sitting down and gesturing for me to do the same. I raised my eye brow at him.  'Just sit'. Crossing my arms across my chest, I walked over and sat down in the seat oposite him. It was weird, I felt like I was talking to my boss, not my husband. 'What about Rory?'  'Well, It is her birthday soon, i wanted to discuss her birthday party'.  'Ohhhh, I thought you were gonna moan about some thing else'. He laughed with out humour and I squinted my eyes at him, It was like he was trying his god damn hardest to piss me off.  'What else would I need to talk to you about?' He shrugged. 'Ok, Whatever. Well, I was arranging and planning it this morning with Danni and we thought about renting out the giant in door play area, There's every thing there, ball pits, climbing frames, slides, they do food so we can just get them to cater, They have those refill drinks machines and they provide goodie bags for all the kids, We can hire a clown, I had a few ideas for cakes and-' I stopped when it looked like he wasn't even paying attention. 'Adam?'  'Yeah, yeah, sounds good to me, I'll leave you to book it'.  'So this is how it is going to be huh?' He looked away from the computer for a second and looked at me. 'Even when discussing Rory, you can't give me your full attention?'  'It sounds like you already have everything sorted. Here'. He took out his wallet and passed over our credit card.  'Right, fine'. Standing up, I left the room and went to sit down in the front room so I could call the venue and hire it out.  I already knew who to invite so I'd have to sort that out as soon as possible Adam will definitely have an issue with Eddie being there, but, his daughter was Rory's best friend and so help me god, if he ruins her birthday party, I'll kill him.  Is this life now? Staying together but making each other miserable?
