8 Allie hurried after the men and found them around a small table. She couldn’t help but take a close look at Talka’s features. Her untrained eyes hadn’t noticed the small similarities between father and son that showed they were related as opposed to Mathalda’s different features. Her perusing done, she returned to the matter at hand. The rest of the office was sparsely furnished, with a few chairs and a cot in one corner, and a small stove with a few miscellaneous pots and pans, most of them filthy, cluttered about a sink.
