22 Drifter turned his face away and furrowed his brow. “No.” Allie’s eyes widened. “But you look human.” “One thing you will learn in this vast universe, dear Allie-” Bina spoke up from the shadows of the kitchenette, “-is that the familiar isn’t always the same.” Allie returned her attention to Drifter. “Then what are you?” “Right now, that’s less important than finding that device,” he pointed out as he stood.
