Allie shook her head. “I don’t see the connection.”
Bina crossed her arms and scoffed. “Their surnames have the same origin country, but if that’s the best connection you have then your sleuth skills have gotten rusty since we last met.”
“I also learned from our old friend Jeremiah that the pair both put down their occupations as ‘blood specialist’ in the guest register,” Drifter added.
Bina raised an eyebrow. “Now that’s a little different. Were they on the cruise together?”
“They booked separate rooms at the last minute. Jeremiah remembers them hurrying on with their luggage and the captain himself checked their luggage before they set sail because Gusev insisted on their being checked in according to protocols.”
Allie’s eyes widened. “The checklists and timetables in her
