Chapter Eleven The cement floor chilled Doris’s back through her coveralls as she lay underneath the first of three ambulances she needed to tune-up before the end of the day. Finished with changing the oil, she scanned the condition of the axle, tie rods, and the oil pan. Despite the vehicle’s age, there was little rust evident on the undercarriage.
