Chapter 14 Oliver entered the condo and immediately knew that Rachel was gone. He paused in the foyer and his mother stopped leaning on his arm. His father played with Leo, feeding him a teething cookie. His mother, pale but smiling, walked over to her husband and grandson, kissing Leo’s head. Oliver stayed back but scanned the condo and tugged on his white shirt. “Where is Rachel?” His father met his gaze and said, “I assumed she went to see your sister but hasn’t come back yet. It’s been more than half an hour.” Rachel would never leave their son without one of them being nearby. Leo was her world though his parents were great with their grandson.
