Chapter 10By the time Bless returned with a couple of bowls of food, Shae was back in his visitor’s chair with Tuor tucked up in bed. If Bless noticed anything different about them, he didn’t say, but his grin stretched from ear to ear.
Finally, it was time for them to make a move. While Tuor dressed, Shae and Bless got their outdoor clothing and equipment ready.
“There’ll be a skeleton presence at the mine. Adair doesn’t have it empty but no one will be working. We need to be as quick and quiet as possible.” Tuor looked from Shae to Bless and back. “You don’t have to come. You know that, right?”
“Yes, we do, and yes, we are.” Shae shrugged on his coat and picked up his earpiece, balaclava, goggles, and air filter. “I’m waiting until we’re at the exit to put these on.”
