Chapter 6By the time another couple of days had dragged by Shae was ready to climb the walls with frustration. I like to take a daily constitutional but, so far, that’s been denied by both the forces of nature and by Adair’s edict that anyone who isn’t a miner heading to or from the pit shaft in regards to work must remain indoors. He glowered out of the window. To his gaze, the weather seemed to have improved, but Adair proclaimed it still too dangerous to be out.
Admittedly there has been some particularly bad weather for a couple of days. Yet despite that, some miners went out on a hunt. They came back safely enough and they were outside the compound.
