I was clueless about how to have a one-on-one conversation with him. I attempted to engage in a talk, but instead, he invited the kids to join us.
"Kage!" I swiftly caught up with him as he guided the kids upstairs. I had no idea if I would end up in the same room as my kids because he directed them to follow him while signaling for me to go the other way.
"I want to talk to you, not go out for some picnic," I declared firmly. Upon hearing my objection, my kids halted in their tracks. They turned around, observing Kage as he just silently locked eyes with me.
