3-Fated To The Powerful Alpha King

Love Cameron: After my father left a handprint on my cheek, I rushed into my room and locked the door behind me. I was hyperventilating, pacing around, and could hear Alice cursing at me from the other side of the door. It was becoming painfully clear that they intended to force me into aborting the baby. Unfortunately, my wolf wasn't one for conversation, so I was pretty much on my own. The entire week was a nightmare. I was confined to my room and given ten days to make a decision. By "decision," they meant either aborting the baby or having the council do it forcibly. After much contemplation on what my next step should be, I finally decided to call Mindy. She was the only one who could help me out of this mess now. I kept praying she'd answer my call today. I've been attempting to get in touch with her, but she went completely silent on me, as if she never existed, something that had never happened before. Finally, she picked up my call. "Mindy! Oh my goodness! Where have you been? So much has happened at home. You know, my family discovered my pregnancy, and now they're pressuring me to terminate the baby," I babbled until I ran out of breath. "That's unfortunate. So, what's your plan now?" The serenity in her voice caught me off guard. I stared at the screen for a minute to ensure I had dialed the correct number. She used to be my loyal and dependable friend. What had happened to her? "I'm not going to terminate my baby. I called to inquire whether you've managed to uncover any information about the wealthy man who visited the bar that night," I asked with great anticipation, albeit with a touch of worry. I couldn't help but wonder why she hadn't reached out to me herself to check on me or share any information about the man. "I checked," she responded flatly, "there was no wealthy man in the bar that night. They were all scoundrels." Her tone was so frigid that I was left speechless, unsure of how to respond to her. Yet, in my vulnerable state, I continued to pester her for answers. "Huh? That's not possible. I remember he left me a gratuity--" As I started to recount the events of that evening, her sharp grunt abruptly silenced me. "Love! There wasn't anyone who left you a tip that night. Stop making up stories. You're just trying to distract from the crime you committed," her sudden outburst left me stunned. "You know what I discovered? There were only scoundrel rogues that night. Poor, unfortunate scoundrel rogue." I was certain that the man had given me a tip. "One of those scoundrels wrote you a worthless check, and once he had his fun, he took it back," she continued to vent her frustration so vehemently that I could barely recognize her over the phone. "Alright, let's consider, for a moment, that my mate is indeed a rogue. He's still my mate, and I want him located," I argued, as her explanation made no sense to me. The whole story about the check and the wealthy man was merely additional information to aid in finding my mate, and nothing more than that. I didn't care if he was a rogue. As long as he accepted me and his baby, we could escape from this toxic pack. "Then go find him. I can't assist you any longer, I'm sorry!" She didn't sound sorry or sympathetic, rather annoyed with me. It was incredibly difficult to hear my best friend talking to me with such a tone. "Mindy! Did something happen? Why do you sound so angry with me?" I asked, my legs giving way beneath me. I sat down on the bed and stared into space, my heart heavy. "No! It's just that I have a busy life, too. I can't play private investigator for you," she scoffed, leaving me even more worried. "Listen, I know I'm a burden, but I was thinking... maybe you could help me find a place? I can't stay here; they might sell me to those wealthy old werewolves," I pleaded, even though she had made it quite clear that she didn't want to help me in any way, shape, or form. I had no one else to turn to; I had to protect my baby and myself. "I'm sorry, I can't assist you. I've been quite busy lately," she replied coldly, not even taking into consideration the terrifying consequences I'd face if she didn't help me. "By the way, the owner of the bar wanted me to let you know that you've been fired from your job for sleeping with a customer," all of a sudden, her tone shifted. There was a hidden message or emotion in her tone that I couldn't quite grasp. "How could he have known? You're the only person I confided in," I was in shock because I had been counting on receiving my last month's paycheck to either hire someone to find my mate or to leave this pack. "Are you implying that I informed the owner about your actions? Love, it's time for you to mature and take responsibility for your choices. If you want to avoid any consequences, don't lose your virginity to someone who isn't your mate. And if you want to keep your job, don't engage in such activities with the customers," she shouted before abruptly ending the call. My mouth hung open, and the phone remained pressed against my ear in shock. This conversation had taken a completely unexpected turn. She didn't even sound like Mindy. Who else could have informed the owner, if not her? "Come out now. You can't hide in there forever," Alice's forceful knocking on the door, accompanied by her raised voice, brought me back to reality. With Mindy distancing herself and losing my job, I felt utterly doomed. My last month's paycheck, which I had hoped to use to placate my family, was now gone. "For heaven's sake, come out, or we'll be forced to summon the royal guards," I heard my father yell from outside. He would never dare to raise his voice at Alice or Livia, even though they had disrespected him numerous times. I cursed myself for my foolishness, for not asking my companion any questions that night. I had been so overwhelmed with emotions that I had rambled on, expecting everything to be resolved by morning. That night now seemed like a distant dream. He had promised to take care of me. Were all the doubts about him accurate? Did he only want to be intimate with me? Then why had he marked me? It felt like there were so many questions and no one to answer them for me. I took a deep breath and opened the door, finding Alice and Livia right outside, with my father seated on the couch holding a drink. "Come out; you can't keep this child," Alice muttered, making way for me to enter the living room and have a conversation with my father. "If you truly had a mate, he would have found you by now. You've deceived everyone just to conceal your crimes. But--" my dad paused as a news report flashed on the TV. "Go get ready; we've spoken to a nurse who will assist you in terminating the pregnancy," my dad commanded, expecting me to comply. "Get ready," Livia whispered with a smirk, taking a seat and turning her attention back to the TV. Everyone was fixated on the screen due to recent developments within the packs. A new alpha king had emerged after years of being absent from the news. The moment his image appeared on the screen, my heart did an unsettling flip in my chest. A cold shiver ran down my spine as I gazed into his piercing green eyes. His features were incredibly distinct, something I could never forget. "That's him!" I exclaimed, raising my arm and pointing at the screen, and I rushed forward before everyone. "Huh?" my dad sat up straight, setting his glass down on the table. "This is my mate!" I announced joyfully, turning around to face them. They all appeared stunned. "He is the father of my child and the man who marked me," I couldn't contain my happiness at recognizing him on the screen. My family remained frozen in their spots, their expressions conveying the shock of a lifetime. "That's Alpha King Kage Reaper!" Alice exclaimed with her eyes widening.
