I gasped against his lips but the surprise only lasted a couple of seconds before I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him back.
He cradled my cheeks as he leaned down and pressed me onto the bed.
His lips moved from my lips to my neck and an embarrassing moan escaped my mouth.
John pulled away from me,eyes wide.He stroked my cheeks lightly before he straightened to leave.
I grabbed his hands."Please stay with me tonight."I begged.
He stared at me for a minute and my heart sank when he pushed off the bed and walked towards the door.
However he surprised me when he closed the door and walked back towards the bed.
He placed his gun on the bedside table and laid down next to me on top the sheets .
I smiled at him and he returned the smile.He snuck his arm around my waist and hugged me to his body.
"Thanks for staying."I whispered.
"Get some sleep."he said resting a soft kiss on my forehead.

I forced my eyes open when I heard my phone vibrate on the bedside table next to me.
"Hi mom."I answered rubbing my eyes looking around the room for John.
"Are you okay sweetie?"she asked sounding nervous.
"Yes mom I'm fine but why are you sounding so nervous?"I inquired.
"Are you sure you are okay?"she asked again.
"Yes I am.Wait did something happen to Belle?"I asked in horror .
Why else would mom be sounding like something bad happened?
"No Belle is okay.In fact she just reached home from the hospital."
I sighed in relief."Then what's wrong ?"
"Now Rosella I need you to promise me to stay calm when I tell you this alright."
"Okay mom I will."I said clutching the phone tightly.
"Leonardo came back home."
My eyes widened in shock....Leonardo was back,this couldn't be possible.
"Rosella are you there?"she asked sounding worried.
"I'm coming home now."I said cutting the call.
Leonardo was back,he was back...
"What's wrong?"John asked stepping into the room with a cup of tea in his hands.
"I need to go home now."I explained climbing out of the bed.
"You look pale.Is everything okay?"he asked studying me.
"I will explain once we are in the car."
"You need to change into these clothes then."he said picking up a jeans and t-shirt from his desk.
I looked down and blushed,totally forgetting that I only had on his t-shirt.
I nodded grabbing the clothes and rushing to the bathroom to change.

"Are you ready to explain now?"John asked as he pulled out of the driveway.
I sighed,where could I begin?
"Leonardo returned home today--"
"You may want to start with who the hell is Leonardo."John cut me off.
"Leonardo is my brother."
"I thought you only had one brother."John stated looking confused.
"Its really a long story."
"We have enough time.Explain."
"Five years ago Leonardo decided he wanted to join the army.Unfortunately my dad wasn't too happy with the idea.He forbid him to join but my brother went against his wishes and dad told him never to return home again."I explained sadly.
John looked taken aback."I can understand why your dad would forbid your brother,joining the army isn't easy.However I don't think it was fair of him to tell him never to return home."
I sighed."I haven't seen my brother since he left that day.We thought he would never return.All we've gotten from him is a phone call every now and then."
I tried not to cry as I remembered the day he left,we were all heart broken.
"What about your dad.Has he forgiven your brother?"John asked as he pulled into another street.
I nodded."He did after he saw the state of mom but my brother had already made up his mind and he was also upset that dad told him never to return."
"That must have been really hard on your family.Its really hard to tell that you had to go through that.Your family has so much love and happiness in it."John said deep in thought.
"We do love each other a lot and we are happy when together but not a day goes by that we don't think about my brother.We just don't ever mention him because everyone gets depressed."
"What do you think brought him back home?"John inquired.
I shrugged my shoulders."I guess we will find out now."I said as he pulled into the driveway.
As we made our way into the living room I could hear laughter.
I spotted my brother sitting on the couch,he looked different.His hair was cut short and his body a lot more built than it was before.
But the thing that caught my eyes the most was his smile...it was fake.
He looked up from where he was sitting and held my gaze.
"Rosella."he said raising up and walking over to me.
I couldn't stop the tears this time.I was beyond happy that my brother was home after all these years.
He smiled at me and this smile was definitely not fake.
With a bright smile of my own I threw myself into his arms like I used to when we were younger.
"I missed you so much."I cried.
He wiped my tears with his thumb."Don't cry."he said shaking his head."I missed you too."
His gaze moved from me to look at John behind me.His eyes narrowed.
"No one told me Rosella had a boyfriend."he said in a disapproving manner glaring at John.
Not this again!
"That's not her boyfriend son.Its her bodyguard."father cut in.
His brows rose in confusion."Why does she need a bodyguard?"
"Let's take a walk and I will fill you in on everything."Brent cut in walking into the room with Belle.
"Belle!"I screamed at the same time she screamed my name.
We both ran and hugged each other tightly.
"I was so worried for you."
"I was worried for you!"she exclaimed.
"Obviously I've missed out on a lot."Leonardo said looking at us."I think it will be good if we take that walk now."he said turning to Brent.
As soon as they were out of the room mom clapped her hands together in excitement.
What was she so excited about?
"Let's plan the pool party now for your brother's return."she said turning to us.
Pool party?
We were going to have a pool party!!!
Could this day get any better?

"Who invited her?"I asked narrowing my eyes as Lena walked into the house.
Belle studied me for a moment."That's Lena ,isn't it?"she asked.
I nodded crossing my arms angrily.
"You're way more prettier than her and John obviously only has eyes for you.You don't have anything to worry about."she tried to convince me.
I sighed."I don't know Belle.One moment John shows me so much attention and then other times he totally ignores me."
"Guys are like that.Don't worry too much."
"I guess you are rig---"
I stopped talking when I saw Lena walk towards John and give him a long hug.
Why was he even hugging her for that long?
"Rosella darling go ask John if he wants something to eat."my mom said clearing the dining table.
"Okay mom."
I walked over to where they were still 'hugging'.
"John."I called annoyed.
"Give me a minute Rosella."he said finally breaking the hug.
"But--"I started.
"I'm just having a word with Lena."he cut me off.
Did he just blow me off for her?
I stormed off back to where Bella stood watching in amusement.
"You don't look to happy."she observed.
"He blew me off."
"I'm sure there is a reason."she pointed out."Besides he wouldn't be able to resist you after he sees you in your bathing suit tonight."she teased.
I blushed."I should probably get ready for tonight."I said before I made my way to my room.
Who did John think he was?Blowing me off for that irritating,annoying...did I mention annoying.. girl.
It didn't take me long to get dressed.
I stared at myself in the mirror.I wore a black laced bikini that showed off the shape of my body nicely.
When I was pleased with how I looked I walked back out to the party.
As I walked down the stairs I could feel all eyes turning to me which made me more nervous than I already was.
I was never too comfortable showing too much skin and especially not in front all these people.
I spotted Belle in the crowd and smiled as I made my way towards her.
"You look amazing."she complimented me.
"Thanks.You look even more amazing."
She wore a cute pink bikini with white dots and looked absolutely gorgeous.
"Your brother doesn't seem to think so."she said sounding annoyed.
"Which one?"I asked confused.
"Brent.He told me to go change."
I almost choked on...nothing.
Brent told her to go change?
I was about to reply when a guy approached us.
"Sorry to disturb you ladies but I just wanted to compliment this gorgeous lady on how beautiful she looks tonight."the guy said looking at me.
My eyes widened in shock.
"Um...thanks."I replied,unsure of what else to say.
"Will you like to take a walk with me out by the pool?"he asked.
I was about to say no when Belle cut in."She would love too."
When did I ever say that?
She nudged me with her elbow."Look over there."
I followed her gaze and realised why she said that.
John was staring in our direction,his eyes throwing daggers at the guy.
I smiled at the guy and placed my hands in his as he guided me through the crowd out to the pool.
I could tell that tonight was going to be an interesting one...
