The Drive

****Jonathan’s POV****  I woke up to hear Mimi and Anna talking about s****l positions and could barely contain my growing desire after hearing some of their conversation.  I kept my cap over my face to hide the fact I was awake and listening intently to everything they were saying.  I had to move my hands to cover my crotch or Mimi and Anna would be able to tell I was eavesdropping.  One thing I knew for sure was that once I got Miss Mimi into my bed she wouldn’t be lying flat on back every time.  I plan on bending that girl over any flat surface I can find and showing her how much more enjoyable “doggie style” can be.  Not to mention, one of the main reasons for getting her into a house with a pool and hot tub was for some aquatic fun in the sun.  The house had tall concrete fencing around the backyard and was on a cul-de-sac like mine, so none of the neighbors could see what was happening back there.  Once I convince her to be mine, I plan on showing her how much fun skinny dipping is.  There was talk of having to stop for gas and a bathroom break, which was my cue to slowly ‘wake up’ as the vehicle slowed before coming to a stop.  I let JD shake me so I didn’t blow my cover, “Hey, bro.  We are pulling over to fill the tank up.  You need to wake up and stretch your legs.”  I moved my cap and gave a big yawn as she slide the SUV into a station near a pump.  JD hopped out to use his card to pay and she climbed out going to the back to check on her cats.  She stayed with the cats, while we went inside to grab snacks, drinks, and use the restrooms.  Then I came out to watch over them as she took care of business.  JD paid for her choices along with the rest of our stuff before joining me at the car.  Once we were all back in and settled in our seats, Anna leaned over the back and let the cats out of the carriers to roam.  Just like Mimi said they found someone to cuddle with as soon as she started driving again and this time we didn’t have a chorus of kitty crying to contend with as we started back on the highway.  She handed the one who tried to climb on her to me and told me how to pet him so that he would be content on my lap, while JD and Anna had the others curled up on them.  We had the radio on again and all of us were singing along this time.  This was turning out to be a really fun road trip.  After a few hours, Meme pulled into a drive-thru and we got some fast food, which we ate in the car in the parking lot with her little fur babies begging for our scraps.  She decided since we were so close to a gas station to go ahead and refill the tank to full, so she could keep going without stopping in a couple hours again.  We took the time to get out and stretch while she distracted the cats with some wet food so they wouldn’t try to escape out the car when we had the doors open.  JD got some water and filled their drink container up and removed the fronts of the cat carriers so they could go in and sleep without getting trapped inside.  Soon, we were back on the road and the food in our bellies put JD, Anna, and me to sleep as the sun began setting.  Before I let myself drift off, I made sure Meme was ok to keep driving for a while and she assured me she was in the zone.  Anna had given her some earbuds so she could listen to the radio without us hearing it and she was tuned to an 80’s rock station on the satellite receiver.  Even the cats had found spots to curl up in the back and fall asleep for the night.  It was about 9 pm now and we still had several hours of driving ahead of us.  I knew Meme would wake us if she needed to switch out and so I let myself slumber for a time.  I came awake with a jolt about 3 am.  I realized that we were at another gas station and Meme had slipped out to put more gas in.  The rest of us groggily got out to go inside and use the bathrooms while she stayed at the pump doing stretches.  When we got back, JD finished putting gas in the Escalade so Meme could run inside for a few minutes.  Looking at how far we’ve come I could see we still had about 7 hours before we hit the outskirts of Vegas.  Again, we offered to take over driving so she could rest, but she insisted she was fine after almost 17 hours of sitting behind the steering wheel she still looked wide awake and ready to keep going.  She said that when we woke up again and were ready to stop for breakfast she would think about changing off with one of us then if she needed to.  Very soon after we starting back on the highway the smoothness of the road lulled the rest of us back to sleep.  I woke back up around 7 am because Anna and Meme were talking again softly, seems Anna woke up about an hour ago as the sun began to rise behind us.  She was trying to convince Meme to let her drive for a bit and rest.  “You know, you will want to be fresh when we get there.  That way you can get the cats settled inside a room while the movers unpack everything from the truck.  Drew and Linda will be there to help, so you don’t want to be drooping when you meet them, do you?” Anna teased.  “No, I don’t.  Tell you what we are about 3 hours out now, but we should probably stop and get something to eat and feed the cats.  That will take about an hour or so depending on where we stop.  I vote Denny’s since we can sit inside and eat instead of staying in the car.” Meme confessed her desire to sit in a booth and not have to worry about cleaning up trash afterwards or having a tiny furry face trying to swipe her burger like one or more did the night before.  “I’m with you, Meme.  It will be nice to have a full selection of food instead of just breakfast items to choose from.” JD chimed in waking up to hear the conversation about food.  I concurred with them and we found a Denny’s diner just a few miles up the highway.  Soon, we were sitting in a booth after making sure that the cats had more wet food, water, and cleaning their litter boxes out before going inside.  Meme had parked on the shady side of the building and left the windows down enough for them to get a cross breeze, but not be able to climb out.  JD and Meme were of like minds and ordered from the dinner portion while Anna and I ordered breakfast favorites.  I loved being able to sit this close to her our legs touching on the seat.  We even ate a bit of each other’s food like Anna and JD were doing.  I couldn’t help feeling like a real couple as we all got our fill and when I went to pay the girls hit the restroom before we headed back out.  JD had won the rock/paper/scissors contest to take over driving so Meme hopped in the back seat with Anna and soon was attempting to fall asleep.  I had offered to switch places and let her sit up front so I could cuddle Meme, but JD told me that I was getting that ‘look’ and needed to back off a bit.  She was sitting behind JD so I could look over my shoulder and see her peaceful face as she tried to sleep against her pillow.  The cats were conforming themselves around her as she leaned toward the window.  After a few minutes, Anna offered to let Meme put her head on her lap so she could lay on the seat.  Once she was set it didn’t take long for her to finally give in to slumber, with her cats curled on her hips and pressed against her back and legs.  She didn’t stir a bit until Anna woke her as we reached the house.  I could see how tired she was and insisted she stay in the car while we got the cats back in their carriers to lock inside the master bedroom.  Meme quietly agreed as the rest of us, Drew included, wrangled her fur babies inside.  Anna and Linda carried the litter boxes into the bath attached to the main bedroom.  I went back out to the SUV and found Meme sound asleep again.  I carefully picked her up, ignoring her feeble protests of being too heavy and her fear she would give me a hernia, and took her inside to lay on the bed before we released the cats from their confinement to run around the room.  JD had put dry food and water bowls out for them and Drew had pulled back the covers for me.  Anna took off Meme’s shoes while I was holding her bridal style and I tucked her in then shut the door quietly to keep them all inside.  The movers would be here soon so the rest of us went back downstairs to wait for them.
