BABY APPOINTMENT

Skylar was standing in front of the painting board she was able to finish about five of the paint this was her last one and then she would need to do some three-heat glass and two potteries as well as one welding.

“Hey babe” Jacob said.

“Hey, you off work?” Skylar asked.

“Yes, and we have an appointment to get too” Jacob said.

“That is not until three” Skylar said.

“Well, I know that but looking at you know you need to take a long shower with that paint all over you” Jacob said.

“I am almost done, and we can go” Skylar said.

“Okay, so how is it between you and Avery” Jacob said.

“Good, we decided to take it slow when we had a date yesterday evening” Skylar said.

“So, taking it slow and does he know about, you know?” Jacob asked.

“Yeah, I told him when we were in San Antonio” Skylar said.

“Okay and he was okay with that?” Jacob asked.

“Yeah, I gave him outs like twice” Skylar said.

“And he still wanted to stay? Damn he must really love you” Jacob said.

“We are not on the love stage” Skylar said.

“He is and you need to catch up” Jacob said.

“Well, I’m finished, and I will go shower now” Skylar said.

“When will you be dropping this off?” Jacob asked.

“Next Friday and Avery will be going with me to Huston” Skylar said.

“Okay, and I will give him the update on the doctor visit so he will know when he’s with you down there” Jacob said.

“I knew you would” Skylar said.

“Well, hurry and get ready” Jacob said.

Skylar nodded her head and went upstairs going into her room towards her bathroom she went in the shower once she got in all the paint was coming off her, once she washed her body and hair she got out and dried her body. Skylar then went into the closet she put on some jeans and tank top she then braided her hair once she was finished, she got her shoes and handbag when she looked at the time it was two. Skylar then went back downstairs where Jacob was talking on the phone and Jacob saw her coming, so he said his goodbyes and hang up the phone.

“Ready?” Jacob asked.

“Yes” Skylar said.

Jacob walked with Skylar out of the house, they took his car.

“When is your next shoot and runway?” Jacob said.

“After Huston, probably a week off and then I have two runways in Los Angelos when I’m there I have about five photoshoots” Skylar said.

“And who will be going with you?” Jacob said.

“Avery, his father wants to use his mileage up before the end of this month and I asked him because I knew you were going to be busy” Skylar said.

“I wish I could go, why did you have to start early” Jacob said.

“Well, I wanted to wait until after baby’s birth but when Nigel heard that I was joining they wanted me to work quick” Skylar said.

“You are one of the top models” Jacob said.

“I know, now I have a lot of question for the doctor about the flying” Skylar said.

“I was going to say the same thing” Jacob said.

“I’m getting hungry” Skylar said.

“Want a burger? I mean we still have time” Jacob said.

Skylar nodded her head; Jacob drove to one of the drives through burger place and she was able to get herself a burger and fries with a drink.

“Happy” Jacob said.

Skylar took a bite into the burger as she nodded her head as they were driving towards the hospital, by the time they got to the hospital Skylar had finished the food.

“We still have time” Skylar said.

“Yes, now move your butt” Jacob said.

Skylar got down from the car so did Jacob they made their way inside the hospital towards the OBGYN floor and checked in.

“I wish I could see you do the runway walk” Jacob said.

“Well, you better put in a lot of over time this coming week so you can come and see me” Skylar said.

“Well, see by Thursday” Jacob said.

“Okay, I will leave you two seats if you want to bring Ethan” Skylar said.

“I will ask him” Jacob said.

A few moments later, the nurse called her name so they went into one of the rooms where they would be waiting for the doctor to come in.

“Let me help you up” Jacob said.

“Thanks” Skylar said.

Jacob help Skylar on the small bed, a few moments later their doctor came in.

“Hello, how are you both?” Dr. Beckham said.

“Good” Skylar said.

“Wonderful” Jacob said.

“Okay, so have you thought about the test” Dr. Beckham said.

“We decided to do the test” Skylar said.

“Okay, good we will do the test in September” Dr. Beckham said.

“I have a question” Skylar said.

“Yes” Dr. Beckham said.

“I started modeling again, and I will be traveling a lot and flying back in, and forth will that affect the baby?” Skylar asked.

“You would need to stop flying between seven to nine months.” Dr. Beckham said

“Okay, and what do we expect with the test?” Skylar asked.

“We will numb your stomach, or you can be put under sleep. Then we will use a long needle to where the baby is at it would not matter which body part if we got blood from the baby, and we will take it and test it” Dr. Beckham said.

“What is the risk?” Skylar asked?

“If we get the arm, it will be okay or the leg. We want to try and avoid the stomach and chest area as well as the head and neck” Dr. Beckham said.

“Okay and what happens if you do go in those area?” Skylar asked.

“We would need to keep you over night and keep an eye on the baby as well as yourself, if everything goes well, we still want to keep you at least a few hours” Dr. Beckham said.

“Okay, no stress” Skylar said.

“Yes, no stress don’t even think about it just think it’s like you’re getting a shot but sleeping” Dr. Beckham said.

“Right” Skylar said.

“Now let’s check on the baby” Dr. Beckham said.

Skylar smiled and nodded her head, and she laid back and put up her shirt as the doctor began.

“My daughter is a huge fan of yours” Dr. Beckham said.

“Really, taww. Is she interested in modeling?” Skylar asked.

“No, she’s more of technology girl, she will be taking a year off from college and work for her college expenses” Dr. Beckham said.

“Well, I want to start a blog and need help so you should send her my way” Skylar said.

“Really? Modeling and Art” Dr. Beckham said.

“Yes, well more modeling now had to hold back on the art my boss understands and the past few days when I would go shopping some girls would come up to me asking for advice on modeling so why not a blog” Skylar said.

“Why didn’t you tell me?” Jacob said.

“I was going to tonight” Skylar said.

“Well, I think it’s a great idea. And your baby is healthy and is growing well” Dr. Beckham said.

“Great” Skylar said.

“Well, let me get your pictures and schedule your next appoint and give you my daughters number” Dr. Beckham said.

“Thank you” Skylar said.

Dr. Beckham left the room, and it was only her and Jacob.

“So, a blog on what?” Jacob asked.

“Just my artwork and modeling tips” Skylar said.

“Well, you already have enough on your plate don’t you want to cut back?” Jacob asked.

“Yeah, I know but better then doing a class every other week” Skylar said.

“Why don’t you just take in her daughter in as a student and see if you can make her a model” Jacob said.

“You really think?” Skylar asked.

“Yes” Jacob said.

“Okay, then” Skylar said.

A few moments later Dr. Beckham came into the room.

“Here you go” Dr. Beckham said.

“Thank you, and I will give her a call” Skylar said.

“Okay, and I won’t say a word” Dr. Beckham said.

“She’s still in school?” Skylar said.

“Yes, will that be a problem?” Dr. Beckham said.

“No, I will go over with some stuff with her and don’t worry it won’t mess with her grades or classes” Skylar said.

“Okay” Dr. Beckham said.

Skylar and Jacob left the hospital.

“You think I should call her now?” Skylar said.

“Yes, and if she is not serious about this modeling you can always be like Tyra Banks and do one just for around here” Jacob said.

“You think?” Skylar asked.

“Yes, and they can get the experience of the model life and if this girl doesn’t want to do it, she can record everything like a journey” Jacob said.

“Ohh, I like that” Skylar said.

Skylar and Jacob went out of the hospital and Skylar called the number and her name was Kayla and they asked her to a Mexican restaurant, and they would wait for her, Skylar then called her mother on what she wanted, and they would order it for her.

“What will you be getting?” Jacob asked.

“The bigger plate” Skylar said.

“Okay, keep forgetting your eating for two” Jacob said.

A few moments later Kayla came.

“Hi, you must be Kayla” Skylar said.

“Ohh my gosh. Hi” Kayla said.

“Come sit down” Skylar said.

Kayla sat down with them, and a waiter came around took their order and the drinks they wanted.

“So, Jacob here didn’t want me to over work myself with modeling again and working on my art. I originally wanted to do a blog about modeling advice as well as artwork. So, we were thinking of turning you into a model and I will be your teacher” Skylar said.

“Really? No, way” Kayla said.

“Yes, and I know that your still in school so this summer you will get the opportunity of following me around to my shoots and runways to learn and I will get you an audition at my company.” Skylar said.

“Will I be doing the shoot with you? How is that going to go?” Kayla said.

“Well for now it’s just looking observing and when I know that your ready. I will have one of my famous photographers will take pictures of you, and we will be using the photos I made the past years” Skylar said.

“Even the nude one?” Kayla asked.

“Yes, because as a model you have to do things that your uncomfortable with. Like what are you most uncomfortable with” Skylar said.

“Wow, there’s a lot. Nude, snakes, big animals, heights. I think that’s about it” Kayla said.

“Okay will, for those you would need to pose with some of those things and you have to push through the fear and overcome those fears” Skylar said.

“So, are you saying I have to model with those?” Kayla asked.

“When the time comes yes” Skylar said.

“Alright ladies let’s eat and we will talk more later” Jacob said.

They ate their food, and Kayla talked more about herself, and Skylar also talked about the modeling world to her and what to expect and her first-time experience and how she got her degree in art. Once they were finished eating their dinner, they had to wait around for Skylar’s mother’s dinner to come.

“So, I will give you a few days to think about it and if you’re not up for it, I will ask someone else and when I do, I will still need you to record the progress of whoever I will take under my wing” Skylar said.

“Okay, I will really think about it and talk over with my parents” Kayla said.

“Okay, and just call me when you made up your mind, you have my number” Skylar said.

“I will, bye guys” Kayla said.

Skylar and Jacob said their goodbyes to her as they made their way to the car with her mother’s food.

“What do you think?” Jacob asked.

“She has a great body; her walk is slightly awkward and is like an inch smaller than me which is good for a model height being between 5’8-6’0” Skylar said.

“What are your plans on working with her?” Jacob asked.

“I would need to make a list” Skylar said.

“Okay, let’s get you home” Jacob said.

“Go home and make my list on how to turn the girl into a model" Skylar said.

"Don't over work yourself" Jacob said.

"I know, Pooh-Bear" Skylar said.

"Aww, my Sky-Bear" Jacob said.

Skylar chuckled out, she took out her phone and went to her note pad on it and began typing away a list for Kayla, when they got home Skylar gave her mother her food to her as she went upstairs where she was able to get paper and pen. Skylar re-wrote down what she had already put on the phone to the paper, she was writing away when her phone rang and it was Avery calling her.

"Hello" Skylar said.

"What are you doing?" Avery asked.

"I decided to take a girl under my wing to make her a model, I hope" Skylar said.

"Hope?" Avery said.

"She is going to think about it, she has the body and the height for the modeling but I think she's just shy" Skylar said.

"I remember a girl that was shy once and she blossomed to something amazing" Avery said.

"Thank you" Skylar said.

"So who is this girl your talking about?" Avery said.

"My doctor's daughter actually" Skylar said.

"Kayla Beckham?" Avery asked.

"Yes how did you know?" Skylar asked.

"Were neighbors well my parents are" Avery said.

"Well what do you think?" Skylar asked.

"I think she can do it" Avery said.

"Yes, with lost of practice" Skylar said.

"Will she is going to have a great teacher" Avery said.

"I just hope she say's yes and we can take her next weekend to Huston" Skylar said.

"Yes, my first runway show of the famous Skylar Williams" Avery said.

"More paparazzi's there that we can do gooey eyes too" Skylar said.

  Avery laughed into the phone as Skylar smiled.

"I like that, I did however got the papers of our other date" Avery said.

"Which one?" Skylar asked.

"When we got ice cream, the steamy kiss" Avery said.

"Oh, my gosh" Skylar said.

Skylar put her hand in her face.

"You do look amazing I can see why they wanted you to model" Avery said.

"Thanks, but I feel like I need more work" Skylar said.

"Well for what is worth you are doing amazing at your work and now I look forward to your runway walk" Avery said.

"And our dates, so you better look those places up" Skylar said.

"I am looking them up right now, and as a boyfriend dating this hot model I need to step up my game" Avery said.

"I like surprises. Which reminds me did Jacob give you the information on the doctor's visit today?" Skylar asked.

"Yes, he sent me a long email of do's and don'ts" Avery said.

"Okay so why did you call?" Skylar said.

"I was wondering if you wanted to go to the falls with me you know tubing and camping just the two of us" Avery said.

"Just the two of us?" Skylar asked.

"Yes you, me and the stars of the night" Avery said.

"Okay, I can't wait. What time do we leave?" Skylar said.

"In the afternoon so pack some clothes for the weekend and we will be back on Sunday evening" Avery said.

"Okay, I should get some sleep then if we are going to hike" Skylar said.

"Alright, I have to get the stuff ready and get some food, I will see you tomorrow. Goodnight Skylar" Avery said.

"Night Avery" Skylar said.

Skylar hang the phone up and she got up from the bed grab her small duffle bag and put some clothes inside their and extra stuff she would need then she went downstairs where her mother was eating and watching tv.

"Hey baby" her mother said.

"Hey mom, Avery asked me camping this weekend well you be okay?" Skylar asked

"I will be fine, you go ahead" her mother said.

"Okay, well I'm finish packing and get some sleep" Skylar said.

"Okay night baby" her mother said.

"Night mom" Skylar said.

Skylar went to one of the rooms at the bottom floor where the sleeping bags were at she got the one that was more comfortable to sleep in. Once she was finished she went back up to her room took a shower and brushed her teeth, once she was finished she placed everything down by the door and dried her hair and was able to finally lay down on the bed and fall asleep.
