Prologue

"A penny for your thoughts Aria," Aiden said playing with my hands but she just looks at him and then looks away from him unable to put her thoughts into words.

"Seriously, what are you thinking Aria? what's bothering you?" Aiden asks now worried about her.

"I was just worried and scared," she said lost in her thoughts.

"About what?" Aiden said and look at her.

"What will happen when our families found out about us, that we are in love with each other and we were meeting with each other behind their back? what are we going to do then? they will kill us Aiden," Aria said looking in his, scared about the consequences of their love.

"Nothing, like that, ever going to happen, love, we would be far away from here, before they know about us, I have already planned everything, as soon as every, as soon as all the arrangements were done, we will be out of here, very very far away from here where we will be together forever, " Aiden said look deep in her eyes with a smile on her face.

"Really?" Aria asks looking at him with a smile on her face.

"Really," Aiden said smiling at her, they both get closer to each other, as they about to kiss, the noise of running horse interrupt them. They stand up from their place and turn to look, Lukas was coming towards them while riding a horse and he did not look to be in a good condition.

As the horses come closer to them, Lukas falls from the horse, a lot of arrows were attached on his back and the blood was running down from his back.

"Lukas, Lukas my friend, open your eyes, what happened to you? who did all this to you," Aiden asks worried while holding him in his arms and trying to make him open his eyes.

"Aiden, my friend, you and Aria better run away from here, king Liam has found out about you and Aria and he is not happy at all, he is coming after you guys with his army," Lukas said while taking a heavy breath, Aria put her hand on her mouth trying to control her sobs and look at Aiden scared, Aiden looks at her then look down at Lukas.

"How did he know about us? who told him, Lukas?" Aiden asks, his eyes filled with water seeing his best friend in his death bed.

"R...Ry...Ryder," Lukas manage to utter the name and close his eyes forever. Aiden put him down in the ground, and a tear falls from his eyes. Both of them look at each other in a daze with water in their eyes not knowing what to do or where to go in that case, but their daze was broken when they heard the noise of the running horse coming towards them.

Aiden grabs Aria's hand and both of them started running away from the noise, to save their life.

"There, they are, follow them," they heard the king Liam shouted to his army and they take a turn and started running even faster.

"Ahh," Aria shouted and fall when arrows and were shot on them, and one of the arrows hit her knee cap.

"Aria, are you okay? what happen?" Aiden asks worried while kneeling in front of her.

"I can't run away like this, Aiden, not in this condition at least, you go and save your life," Aria said pushing him away from her.

"No, never, I will leave you behind me alone to do them, you know what I will carry you and we both run away from her," he said and try to carry her in his arms.

"You can't be able to go far away from them if we carry me with you, please go and save your life, Aiden," Aria said pushing him away.

"No we will get out of here together or will die together," Aiden said to her and take her in his arms even after her many protests and start running away from them with Aria in his arms.

The bow was shots again and one of them hit on Aidens ankle and he falls on the ground with Aria. He gets up with her and was about to run again but one of the shoulders comes towards them and surrounded them with his army. King Liam gets down from his horse and walks towards them.

"How can you do it to us, Aiden, how could you?" king Liam shouts at him and Aria hides her face in Aiden's shoulder, getting scared of him.

"Anyway, it's not too late, Aiden, you still can correct your mistake, come back to the palace with me, and we will destroy the Raychand's using his daughter," king Liam said smiling at him.

"There is no way father that I will do this, I love her and I will not let you use her as an advantage to complete your rivalry with the Jaissewal's, never, on my dead body," Aiden shouted to him holding her even tighter to his chest like that will protect her from his father.

"Then get ready to die," king Liam said taking the sword out of its cover.
