“Noah is fine, Ivy.”
At those words, my body relaxed, but my mind was still trapped in a whirlwind of anxiety.
I wanted to believe my sister’s reassurance, but doubt lingered in my heart.
“Ivy, I promise. Noah is fine. He had a minor injury during training, and they needed to confirm some medical history. I provided them with everything they needed and told them not to contact you again. They shouldn’t have called you in the first place,” Bella explained, her voice steady.
She walked over and enveloped me in a comforting hug. “I’m so sorry you had to go through that. I promise it won’t happen again.”
I nodded, pulling away slightly, still needing reassurance.
“But Noah is fine?” I asked, my voice wavering as I sought confirmation one more time.
