Toughen Up!
Jesse drove up to his family home on the lake while I explained everything that had happened over the last week.
I hadn’t wanted to talk about it with him but who else did I have?
We may have some issues but he was from a time in my life that wasn’t this shattered, just yet and now here I was sitting beside him in a car in tears and he was once again doing what he had done back then.
Giving me another f*****g lecture.
“Toughen up!” Jesse yelled while poking me in the shoulder.
“What the hell!” I yelled back.
“I was wondering what was going on between you too when I saw you at his party. Jayce McKinney had a reputation, not just here. I’m surprised the twins didn’t tell you about him.” Jesse explained.
