Waking up

  -      KATHERINE’S POV - The first thing I saw was a blinding white light, so bright that I immediately closed my eyes shut again. “Oh, thank the Goddess. She’s awake”. I immediately recognized my dad’s voice, and when I tried to open my eyes again, I found out that the light had been dimmed a little, enough to not hurt my sight. I scanned my surroundings; it looked like I was in some sort of hospital rooms. The walls were perfectly white and the bed I was laying in terribly uncomfortable, with white and green sheets; I even had an IV stuck in my arm. Dad was sitting on the left side of my bed and had my hand in his, a gentle and relieved smile on his face.
