Chapter 4

 {Jacob’s POV}

    These last 2 days have been insane. First my mate figures out she’s my mate after my sister suggests 7 minutes in heaven. I got caught f*****g her into oblivion, not once, but twice within 10 minutes. And now I swear I saw my best friend Maddox f*****g my sister in a classroom. But when I turned to look back there was no one there.

    I think my mom and her craziness is rubbing off on me. ‘Kaly is a good girl, she would never… Would she?’ I think to myself as my sexy little mate pulls me towards lunch.’ How did I get so lucky to have such a hot goddess like mate?’ I smile looking at her as she pulls me into the lunch line.

    She is such a strong little thing for only being 5’5”, but it has to be her Irish nature. Her long red curly hair that she got from her parents, makes her stand out.     “Well if that’s the case…” She reaches behind her back and grabs my c**k and strokes. “Then I think I will deny it.” She says and walks away. She leaves me standing there in shock with a raging boner and people all around. I use my tray to hide myself and adjust my “problem”. I grab some food and put it on my tray and go pay.

    I find my vixen of a mate grinning at me, with a hint of evil in her eyes, from our table. ‘Oh you are so gonna get it when we get home.’ I mindlink her and she smirks. I sit down to see Maddox walking towards us. He sits next to me and Kaly walks into the cafeteria.

    Maddox leaves and walks over to her and they get in line to get food. I have been noticing they are getting closer. “Are they dating behind our backs?” my wolf Raiz asks. “I don’t think so.” “Well she smells of him almost all the time.” He says with a wolfish grin. “Stop it Raiz. Don’t make me doubt my best friend and my sister.” I huff at him. “Plus they are always in the back seat of the jeep together. So of course they would smell of each other.”

    Kaly and Maddox walk back out and we all eat and chat about Sara getting her wolf Elise. Raiz is crazy excited to get to meet her. He’s been driving me nuts all day about her. After lunch we all head back to classes and the day flies by.

    After school we meet at the Jeep and head home. “Babe what do you want me to wear tonight?” I hear Sara’s sweet voice ask. ‘Oh now she wants to act innocent, like I’m going to forget she needs a spanking.’ I laugh to myself.

    “Babe you could wear a potato sack for all I care, and I would still think you are the best-looking girl in the room.” I smile at her and she blushes. ‘But that little ass of yours is going to be red as soon as we get to my room.’ I mindlink her and she gasps, and I chuckle.

    “Eeewwwww you two. No mindlinking dirty things to each other.” Kaly says from the back and we all start laughing. “You’ll do it too little sis when you have a mate.” I smile and I notice she smiles and side glances at Maddox. But more what confuses and angers me more is Maddox is doing that same. “See I told you something is up with them.” Raiz states with a laugh.

    “That’s your little sister too dude.” I wouldn’t be laughing I glare at him in my mind. He rolls his eyes and blocks me. ‘Stubborn stupid wolf.’ I think to myself as I pull up in front of the pack house. I get out and grab Sara and throw her over my shoulder, earning me a laugh from our friends and shouts from Sara. “Put me down you big dumb wolf.” She yells hitting my back.

    “Nope I’m gonna make that ass sting.” I say slapping her ass and running up to my room. I was almost there when my dad called for me, “Son I need to see you in my office.” He smiles apologetically when I turned to face him. “Right now?” I asked defeated. “Yes son.” He smirked and then turned and walked to his office.

    I roll my eyes and set Sara down. “I’ll be right back babe.” I smile and slap her on the ass and run toward the office. I walk in as he is sitting down in his chair. “What’s up dad?” I smile widely. “I have pressing matters to get back to.” I wiggle my eyebrows and laugh. “Son I need you to focus for 5 minutes.” He laughs heartily.

    “I need you to tell me who you have picked as your Beta and Gamma. We need to bring them in here and talk about them starting training with my Beta and Gamma.” He states and waits patiently. “I do have them picked. I have decided on Garrett and Maddox.” I smile brightly.

    Dad looks at me and shakes his head. “Son have you thought this through or are you just picking your friends?” He asks concerned about my reasons. “I’m disappointed that you think I would pick them just because they are my friends.” I frown at him in confusion, ‘he really thinks I would do that.’ I shake my head and clear the thoughts.

    “I picked them because besides me, they are the strongest fighters, including your Beta and Gamma. I picked Garrett as my Beta because out of the three of us, he has better skills in being a critical thinker. Don’t get me wrong all three of us are top of our class, but he seems clearer headed when solving problems. I picked Maddox as my Gamma because he is brain and brawn. I know if Garrett and I have to leave to another pack or on business, the pack will be in good hands. Plus he’s almost as strong as I am.” I see my dad smiling at me proudly.

    “Son those are very good reasons and I like the way you think. Reminds me of myself.” Dad chuckles. “Alright can you call them here please?” I open my phone and send a quick text to them and tell them to come to my dad’s office. Just as I send the text someone knocks on the door. “Come in.” My dad says to the door.

    In walk his Beta and his Gamma. “Lucas. Brian. We have your trainees coming in a few minutes.” My dad tells them and a few moments later Maddox comes walking through the open door, with Garrett seconds behind him. “You wanted to see us alpha?” Maddox asks. “Yes, I do. It seems my son here has picked you two upstanding gentlemen as his Beta and Gamma.” My dad looks at both of them.

    Garrett and Maddox whip around to look at me and I chuckle in my seat. “I see from the looks on your face my son didn’t tell you he had made a choice.” He chuckles himself. “Beta Lucas, this is Garrett your new trainee. Teach him all it takes to be Beta.” He nods at the two of them. “Yes Alpha.” Beta Lucas replies. “Gamma Brian, this is Maddox your new trainee. You will be teaching him how to be Gamma.” He nods to both of them. “Yes Alpha.” Gamma Brian nods.

    “Alright boys that’s it. You may go back to the previous activities you were just participating in. We will have a ceremony next week to announce it.” My dad looks at me and winks. With that I stand, and the guys and I shuffle out into the hallway and I close the door behind me. The high fives and hoots, I’m sure where heard around the whole pack house.

    “Let’s go tell the girls.” Maddox yells and we take off down the hall. I run to my room and pull Sara to Kaly’s room. We knock and she tells us to come in. We all bust in the door in excitement and Sara and Kaly are in absolute confusion. “Guess what?” Garrett practically yells and the girls look at each other confused but curious. “What?” Kaly asks smiling at us genuinely curious. “You’re looking at the future Gamma.” Maddox beams with pride. “And the future Beta.” Garrett follows suit.

    The girls giggle and bow deep at the guys and they return the bow. I just watch as they all giggle like little schoolgirls. ‘I love this group, and nothing is going to change that.’ I smile to myself. “So I know it’s Beseech day and Sara’s Birthday, so after dinner tonight we should celebrate all these amazing things.” I say to the group. They all nod.

    “How about we camp out at the lake?” I wink at Sara. “We will bring the spelled tents. The soundproof ones.” Sara’s face goes bright red, and we all laugh. We all agree to meet down by the lake and even told Garrett he could bring Lylah if she wants to come with. We decide to invite a few more people so my mom won’t get all dumb about just our group being there.

    “Alright guys, you gotta go. I have homework to do. Then I have to get ready for tonight’s dinner and then the camp out.” Kaly said shooing us all out of her room. She tells the boys congrats once more before shutting her door.

    ‘Son?’ My dad asks through mindlink. ‘Yeah dad.’ I answer back as Sara is pulling me toward my room. ‘After the ceremony I will put the boys on the 2nd floor with the warriors and omegas. I don’t want them to have to live in the Beta and Gamma apartments on the 3rd floor. Make sure they know this time.’ He chuckles the last part. ‘Got it dad.’ I smile.

    “Sara baby, are you ready?” I smack her on her ass, and she yelps in surprise. With her eyes wide she turns and takes off running to my room. “You can run, but you can’t hide beautiful.” I laugh and follow suit, running after her.

    After about an hour Sara and I come up for air. I hold her in my arms and trace circles on her bare back as she lays on my chest. “Do you think that Lylah will say yes to Garrett?” Sara asks me dreamily. “I don’t know. I don’t know that much about her.” I sigh content with being with my beautiful mate. “I think she is perfect for Garrett. I also think he deserves happiness.” She smiles looking up at me. “And what about Maddox? Do you see him with anyone?” I ask looking down at Sara.

    “If I tell you the truth you promise you won’t get mad?” She asks and I stiffen, but nod not knowing what she will say, but I am curious. “I think Kaly is perfect for Maddox. They complement each other so well. Even as friends they are close. I hope they are mates.” She says smiling brightly up at me. “Really?” I ask wondering about what she has said.

    “Yes, babe really. They would be perfect for each other.” She leans up and kisses me and jumps off the bed and heads for the bathroom. “I have to shower. You coming?” She smiles walking into the bathroom, and I hear the shower turn on. “In more ways than one my sweet, in more ways than one.” I get up going to the bathroom to have Sara screaming my name in the shower.

    We are dressed and ready by 6pm and are heading down the stairs when Kaly comes out of her room in a black cocktail dress. She looks beautiful and I feel Sara let go of my arm. “Babe we’ll be right down.” Sara looks at me and smiles. I nod and walk away leaving the girls to talk.

    I’m almost to the bottom of the stairs and I can see the house has been decorated to perfection. My mom ever the perfectionist, tries to be the perfect Luna. I have no doubt Sara will also be the same way. “Hey where is your mate?” I hear Maddox and look to see him at the bottom step. “Talking with Kaly. They will be down in a minute.” I look at him and I’m curious on his thoughts of what Sara said.

    “Hey Maddox?” I ask looking around making sure no one is listening or within ear shot. “Yeah man.” He smiles at me with question. “Sara said something to me, and I wanna know your thoughts.” I sigh and rub the back of my neck. “Sara thinks you and Kaly would be great as mates. What do you think? Could you see yourself with my sister?” I asked and his eyes bugged out of his head. “Ummm, I mean Kaly is a prize for anyone to be with. I would be lucky to have her as my mate.” He tells me looking completely genuine.

    “Why do you ask tho? None of us know the Goddesses will until we have our wolves.” He asks looking at me with concern. “See that, he likes her.” Raiz pipes up in my mind. “Shut it Raiz.” I snip at him. “I don’t know, Sara just got me thinking. To be honest man it would be great if you two were mates. We could all stay close.” I smile at him and he relaxes almost as if he has been tensed this whole conversation.

    The girls come down the stairs and I see Maddox’s eyes find Kaly and he hard swallows. I lean over and whisper, “You like her, don’t you?” Maddox nods, but soon realizes that he just told me he likes my sister and looks at me with wide eyes. “It’s cool man. I’m not mad. I thought I would be, but Sara is right you guys would be perfect for each other.” I hit him in the shoulder, and he smiles a million-dollar smile, like I just gave him the keys to heaven.

    “Hey boys.” Sara says as she hops off the last step. “I’m not a boy and you know it.” I say pulling her into a hug and burying my face in her neck, taking a breath of her amazing scent. “Babe not here.” She huffs. “Sorry baby you know I just can’t get enough of you.” I smile down at her and place a soft kiss on her lips.

    Gagging sounds brought me back to where we were. I turn to see Kaly scoffing at me. “Get a damn room.” She says rolling her eyes. “We have one, but I wanted to take my mate right here, because I can.” I say sticking my tongue at her. Kaly rolled her eyes again and looked up at Maddox.

    He looks around to see if anyone was around and leaned down and placed a soft kiss on her lips. She instantly looked at me and I look at Maddox. “Man I didn’t say to jump her. I just said it would be ok to like her.” I shake my head laughing. He really must like her a lot. “Let’s all go to dinner before mom comes and finds us and tries to kill the two of you.” I chuckle.

    We walk out the back door of the pack house and into the main tent. Taking our seats and begin conversing with people at the table. Dad walks over and begins the dinner. We eat and everyone laughs and carries on. After the food and plates are cleared away, dad stands. “It’s such a joy to see all of you here for the Beseech day dinner. Without further a due let the beseeching commence.” With that he turns to my mother and hands her a velvet box. She opens it and looks up at him with tears and nods.

    I turn to Sara and hand her a similar box. She opens it and gasps. “Jacob is this what I think it is?” I nod and smile at her. “Will you be mine forever and always? In this life and the next? Marry me?” I ask and Kaly, Maddox, Garrett, and even Lylah all seem to be holding their breath. “Yes.” Sara screams as she jumps up from her seat and into my lap.
