Chapter Four A part of Gray was screaming at him that he shouldn’t have spoken to Kristie. But she looked so f*****g depressed sitting at that table. Armand had ditched her and taken off somewhere, leaving her alone at the wedding. Gray wished he could deck Armand in the face for the way he was treating Kristie. She looked so beautiful in her bridesmaid gown. The lights from the dance floor illuminated her hair and made her look unearthly, like a goddess who had come down to see mere mortals. Gray felt disgusted with himself for even thinking such a sappy thought. And now Kristie had locked eyes with him over her glass. It made his heart beat so hard in his chest that he was taken aback, as if he was falling into the very center of her. Gray tore his eyes away from hers, trying to fight
