GLORIA’S POV
“Lawrence, do you want to live here when you’re older?” Lawrence nodded his head before writing something on his notepad.
“Mom used to live here. Don’t let aunty sell it.” I read the note that Lawrence wrote for me.
“I know. I will tell aunty not to sell it. But Lawrence, uncle Ryan, and the others are trying to use us so they could covet what mother used to have. How are we supposed to deal with that?” Lawrence shrugged his shoulder. What am I doing- I’m asking a ten-year-old about what to do?
