Chapter 10The next morning, by the time Sébastien was awake, Hallbjörn had already risen from his bed and gone. A note on the small table at the side of the bed told him to wait in the room until Hallbjörn returned. Scowling, Sébastien washed in the cold water from the jug which sat beside a chipped, but matching basin. It was better than nothing. His stomach rumbling, Sébastien dressed quickly, and then peered out through the dusty window. There was little to see. A few people passed by, to and fro, going about their business, no one taking any notice of the inn. Except for one man.
