James pov
When she hugged me, with that huge smile on her lips, all I wanted to do was tell her over and over again that I love her.
Now in the park, I hold her hand, as we look around for our first ride.
"Where do you want to start?" I ask.
"With the rides." She smiles, still looking around with big, wide eyes.
"Which one?"
"That one."
She points up and I follow where her finger leads, and see a rollercoaster.
To be more specific, the biggest, wildest, rollercoaster they have here.
She squeals and drags over to the line.
She's so cute.
Ever since we got here, She's been the happiest I've ever seen her. With child like eyes, full of curiosity.
I made the right call.
I sigh in relief, knowing I didn't take her to the fancy dinner I had planned yesterday night.
I guess that thing was useful for something.
Speaking of him, I note the message my security team sent me.
That he was here.
In a black Honda.
I look down at Lucy beside me, beaming with excitement, I'll tell her once we take a break.
I smirk with smug, I knew I'd make her happy, and I plan to keep her this way as long as possible. There's no way I'd let Bryan get in the middle of that.
As we wait, we talk about work, our interests and hobbies, and anything else that came up in the conversation.
Knowing more about her and her knowing more about me, feels like it's solidifying our relationship.
One that I hope never ends.

It's finally our turn to get on the ride after like 10 minutes and I'm about, bursting with anticipation.
Who knew these lines would take so long?
As we board, James smirks down at me.
"Get ready to be blown away."
I laugh and pull him down.
"Yeah, I hope so."
The ride starts moving as soon as everyone seated and I feel...nervous.
I brush it off, probably just the ride gitters.
As we start going up a huge hill that lead in to a steep decline, I reach out and grab James's hand again.
He turns and looks at me.
He stares and as soon as we reach the top of the hill, just as we're about to top over, he opens his mouth to say something.
But it's drowned out by the sounds of many screams, including my own.

After getting on 8 more rides, I'm hungry.
"James let's get some food." I smile up at him kinda tired.
It's been 3 hours of walking around and screaming my lungs out.
Yeah I'm tired.
"Yea, I'll get us some pizza." He walks over to a pizza stand, while I go sit on a bench across from it.
Today's been great, I've never had this much fun.
I lean back in the chair and close my eyes, taking a deep breathe, then open my eyes again, feeling relaxed.
And it's all thanks to James.
What was I afraid of again?
I chuckle.
I was being stupid.
I'm still lost in my thoughts, when someone comes over and sits next to me.
I glance at them and freeze.
"Bryan."
"Yes, my love." He says, with his hoodie on and a strange smile.
I inch off the bench slowly.
"You know the way he left you here, you'd think he wants me to take you away and make you mine again."
He reaches out and I back away off the bench and look to where James was standing.
Keyword was.
I look around frantically for him.
But he's gone.
My eyes snap back to Bryan to see him inches away from me.
I turn to run but he catches my arm and pulls me back.
"Why are you running away from me?" He asks.
Terror floods my heart.
I try to yell out for James but Bryan's hands quickly clamps over my mouth and again I struggle against him, trying to get anyone's attention, but Bryan rushes to pull me behind to stands of food and carnival games.
"Don't worry, baby. I'm taking you home."
No.
My heart pounds.
No.
James.
Bryan switches hands, and I breathe in trying to scream, yell, anything useful to get some help.
But he brings with the other hand, a cloth soaked in something I can't think of right now as my conscious fades out.
James pov
Stupid secretary, can't do anything.
I walk back to where the pizza stand is.
Why call me on my date when I told you not to?
She's getting fired.
I turn with the pizzas in hand, and see no Lucy.
I pause.
Fear crawls up my spine as I drop both slices and look around.
North
No Lucy.
East.
No Lucy.
I start trembling.
West, South.
No...Lucy.
"Lucy." I start.
"Lucy, if this is a prank, I'm not laughing."
No response.
"Lucy!"
I pull out my phone and call the head of my security team.
I should've told her earlier, I should've told her right when I got that text.
I should've been here.
"Where is she?" I whisper, hoping they say bathroom, or something that doesn't threaten to make me crazy.
"He took her...sir."
My trembling turns to shaking.
"Who?" I manage to ask, even though I know.
I know and I start running to the parking lot, praying I'm not too late.
"Bryan."
