It was a scary feeling to think that someone had gone as far as assassinating the family of the Alpha. It was almost … Almost too ridiculous to even think of and I shrugged off the idea. I couldn’t for the life of me think that a wolf would do such a thing. Even among rogues there was a certain code of honour. You didn’t kill women and children, and you didn’t assassinate people, like some backstabbing … Okay, now I was really losing it, because some wolves didn’t care whether you were female or a child … In fact, if you were a ranked child, you were probably number one on their hitlist! Okay, okay, my paranoia was getting out of hand. The world wasn’t perfect, but why would anybody want to kill Caspian’s entire family?
