The Alpha King and His Luna

CHAPTER 5

UPON reaching the top of the mountain, the lavender scent became stronger. The flute stopped. So, Lucian needs to sniff the air to locate the person who owns that lavender scent. It was so sweet and so addicting.

“Alpha King, we have reached the top.” Alpha Calixto said.

Lucian looked around. “Where is she?” he asked as he looked around until he saw a Nipa Hut from a far then she saw a lady outside. Hindi siya nagsalita. Dumeretso siya sa kinaroroonan ng Nipa Hut.

Kumuyom naman ang kamay ni Catherine dahil hindi ito ang inaasahan niya. She thought she will be picked by the Alpha King but now, the Alpha King is looking for Celeste.

“Catherine, calm down. The Alpha King is just confused by that woman.”

Caleb, the Beta of Alpha King Lucian, heard what Alpha Calixto said. He couldn’t help but to intervene. “Alpha, His Majesty is not confused and he will never be confused,” he said as he follows the Alpha King.

Nawalan naman ng imik si Alpha Calixto. Sumunod silang lahat sa Alpha King.

Celeste, who were at the branch of the tree, felt the presence of the newcomers. Hindi siya umalis sa kinauupuan niyang sanga ng puno at tinignan ang mga paparating. Nakita niya ang pamilyar na lalaki at naramdaman niya ang aura na nagmumula rito. Powerful aura.

Nagtataka si Celeste kung ano ang ginagawa ng lalaking ‘to rito sa bundok kung saan siya nakatira. Hindi maalis ni Celeste ang tingin sa lalaki. May kung anong bumubulong sa kaniya na tignan niya ito kung ayaw niyang magsisi.

Lucian looked for the woman who owns the lavender scent. He heard a movement from above so he looked up and saw the woman he saw the other day. Their eyes met. His golden-brown eyes were locked to her eyes.

Mate! Steele growled and jumped in happiness.

Celeste saw the man’s eyes. It suddenly glowed but the glowed instantly disappeared after a second.

“Mate.” Lucian whispered.

Everyone heard what the Alpha King said and they were all shocked especially the people from River Valley Pack.

Catherine couldn’t accept it and her hand clenched in anger. Why her? I should kill her long time ago. She will take away my happiness!

Lucian was expecting his mate to smile at him and jumped towards him it didn’t happen. Tinignan lang siya ng mate niya na para bang kinikilala siya. Wala siyang nakuhang reaksiyon mula rito. His mate only looked at him as if he was nothing to her.

Lucian was enraged but he needs to calm down. He took a deep breath and stepped in front. “Mate, get down.”

Kumunot ang nuo ni Celeste. “My name is Celeste and not ‘mate’.” Aniya sa kaswal na tono na para bang walang pakialam.

“Celeste, he is the Alpha King. Show some respect!” Alpha Calixto scolded Celeste.

But Celeste rolled her eyes. “Paano kung ayaw ko?” tanong niya sa kaniyang ama. “Are you going to punish me?”

“You!”

Itinaas ni Lucian ang kamay niya. “Let me talk to her, Alpha Calixto.” Aniya.

Tinignan niya ang mate niya. Her black hair is flowing and dancing in the wind making her more beautiful. Her eyes and face looked so innocent.

“Is your name Celeste?” Lucian asked in gentle voice.

Caleb, who have been by the Alpha King’s side ever since he can remember, was shocked when he heard the Alpha King spoke in gentle voice. But now at least, Alpha King has found his mate.

“It’s none of your business if my name is Celeste or not.” Walang emosyong sabi ni Celeste. It’s no use if she will show respect to this man they called as Alpha King.

Lucian’s temper was challenge but Celeste is his mate so he needs to be patience. “Come with me.” Inilahad niya ang kaniyang kamay.

Sumandal si Celeste sa katawan ng puno at tumingin sa ibaba. “Why? To be your slave? Never.”

Ibinaba ni Lucian ang kamay. “You are my mate. I would never e*****e you.”

Kumunot ang nuo ni Celeste. “Mate? What is that? I didn’t shift so I don’t know what is mate.”

Lucian was shocked and looked at Alpha Calixto. “What does this mean?”

Alpha Calixto bowed. “Your Majesty, my daughter didn’t shift. And she’s been distant from us so she never learned what is mate.”

Celeste scoffed. “Liar.”

“Show respect to the Alpha King, Celeste!” Alpha Calixto scolded his daughter.

“Why? You want to punish me again? Okay. Go on and let’s see who will die.” Celeste answered.

Alpha Calixto pointed his daughter. “You are an ingrate daughter!”

Natawa si Celeste. She mockingly laughed. “An ingrate daughter?! Wow! I am so touch! Ang tanging alam ko lang hindi niyo ako tinuring na pamilya! I don’t have any family and I am grateful for that!”

Kumuyom na ang kamao ni Alpha Calixto dahil sa nararamdaman niyang galit para sa walang kwenta niyang anak. “Celeste Aragon, are you going to taint our reputation to the Alpha King?”

“Reputation?” Celeste mocked. “I don’t know what are you talking about? Mind enlighten me, please, Alpha.”

“You! Get down, Celeste!”

Ngumisi lang si Celeste. “If your force me then someone will die between us,” she threatened.

Lucian who saw and heard everything. Hindi na siya mahihirapan na mag-isip kung bakit ganito ang mate niya sa pamilya nito. She was not treated well.

“That’s enough. Little mate, sumama ka sa akin sa palasyo.” Ani Lucian sa malumanay na boses.

“Never! I rather wanted to wander than to be a prisoner,” Celeste said. Wala na siyang ibang maisip na dahilan kung bakit siya dadalhin ng Alpha King sa palasyo nito.

“You will never be a prisoner there. So, come with me.”

“Never!”

Lucian run out of patience. He jumped into the branch of tree where Celeste was.

Nagulat naman si Celeste. Mabilis siyang napatayo. At bago pa man siya makakilos, itinapas ng Alpha King ang kamay nito sa mukha niya at nawalan siya ng malay.

Lucian used his power. Celeste lost her consciousness and fell into Alpha King Lucian arms. Maingat na pinangko ni Lucian ang mate niya saka siya lumundag pababa sa lupa. Hinarap niya si Alpha Calixto. “I’m taking her with me.”

“Alpha King, I…”

“What? Are you going to stop me? Celeste is my mate and no one can stop me. I’ll take her to the palace.” Saad ni Lucian at tinignan ang maamong mukha ni Celeste. “I promise no one will hurt you from now on. I’ll protect you.”

When they reach the pack house, Lucian was about to leave when Alpha Calixto stopped him.

“Your Majesty, it’s not that I don’t you to take away my daughter. But can’t we wait Celeste to wake up and ask her if she’s willing to go with you?”

“No need. She’s my mate and she is coming with me.” Tugon ni Lucian habang buhat ang walang malay na si Celeste.

“But…”

“Alpha Calixto, are you trying to stop me?” Naging itim ang mata ni Lucian. It means that his wolf took over. “Are you going to stop me, Alpha Calixto?” Lucian asked in deep yet dangerous voice.

Agad na yumukod si Alpha Calixto. “I don’t dare, Alpha King.”

Lucian walked towards the car. Binuksan naman ni Caleb ang pinto ng kotse sa backseat at maingat na ipinasok doon ni Lucian ang mate niya. Hinubad niya ang ang suot na long coat saka ito ipinatong kay Celeste.

“Your Majesty, is she really your mate?” Catherine asked the Alpha King.

Lucian looked at the woman. “In my whole life, I made lots of mistakes but this time, I am sure that I am not mistaken. Celeste is my mate, my Queen – your Queen and you will bow your head to her. Satisfied with my answer?”

Kumuyom ang kamay ni Catherine. “But she never shifted, Your Majesty.”

“I don’t care as long as she is my mate.” Lucian said as he entered the car.

Then Caleb intervenes. “In our pack, there are some who shifted late. His Majesty didn’t kick them out but instead he took care of them until they shifted. Alpha Calixto, His Majesty is not a fool. Kahit pa walang nagsabi sa kaniya alam niya kung ano ang ginawa niyo sa mate niya. Be thankful enough that His Majesty didn’t kill you all for hurting his mate.” Caleb entered the car.

“Caleb, to the palace.”

Caleb bowed and drove the car.

Lucian looked at his mate. “Little mate, this time I’ll protect you.”
